Whenever I recommend Michael Medkiff to friends & family I always tell them that Michael is an exceptional tax genius, who is very expensive but really worth the money. Everyone I have ever sent to him calls me up to thank me and tells me I was more than right on ! When I see him he is very proactive in his suggestions about what I can do in the future to save money on my taxes, better plan my finances, negotiate business dealing and make retirement plans. It's a very nice feeling to know that someone is working hard, taking a real interest and getting you the best result possible on your tax situation.
I did the Monarch of the Seas to Ensenada for the weekend. You get on the boat in San Pedro on Friday afternoon and get off on Monday morning. It's a great weekend getaway with few hassles. It's a nicely remodeled ship; the food & service are good and the casino was fun. Check out the blow-hole area outside of town in Ensenada. The arts & crafts are more authentic, the bars are fun and the blow-hole is a fun sight.
Pricey old world charm, with a nice bar and good but not fantastic food. For the price it should be fantastic. Nice leather booths, fancy silver and excellent service by good waiters. It looks and feels like a 1950's mens club; in a nice way. A good place to go if your close by and on an expense account. The bar is a nice quite classy place to meet friends and the drinks are good.
The place has a nice worn 1950's charm to. I read somewhere that it started way back when and just stayed the same. It's a small wrap around counter inside a freestanding building that's almost always crowded. I thought the food was pretty good but not worth the hassle/crowd. If your close by it's worth a visit but expect to wait a long time to get served.
Yes, there are meters in front of the center on Wilshire, so parking is easy but you do have to feed the meter. The prices are reasonable and there is 24/7 access with a key. Convenient for those of us who live close by.
Carnival to Cabo, Mexico from Los Angeles is ok. It's like MacDonald's, serviceable but not exciting. They are less expensive than other lines. If you are Young, looking to party and just want "something" to eat you can have a good time with friends. For value I would definitely go with Royal Caribbean. A little more money but much better value.
I have taken Princess on at least 8 cruises and it is a great 4 star experience. The Tahitian Islands was my favorite so far. The food is ok to good, (hint order multiple entrees at dinner and then eat what tastes best; it's all one price), the rooms are nice but small and the ships are well laid out. It's a great 4 star experience and fun to go with friends. The value exceeds what you are paying.
It's a really fantastic locals place. Since it's in Bel Air you will see the occasional local celebrity but nobody seems to notice. The food is fabulous and the staff is very friendly. I go here often with a friend that lives nearby. They have great take out/delivery too!
It's a nice place with nice decor but the food was just so-so when I was there and the service was the same. Unless you live in Pasadena and are bored with every other restaurant in town I would not recommend it. Try the steakhouse next door. It's much better.
Great old world service with great steaks and excellent service. Very expensive but at least you get your money's worth. They bring samples of the raw steaks table side and you get to examine your steak before you order it. It's a great special occasion place.
