Charles Billiard Sports Bar
We've been hanging out here at Charles forever. It's the place for all local college students and adults hang out. The place is big, clean, lit, and the bar is fun! If you have no plans, it's always great to head out to Charles with your friends. And it's the type of place that no matter when you go, you'll sure to run into someone you know.
Video Hut
Wow, the rentals here are cheap! We've been going here for a long time now because of their prices. Where else will you go? The only downside would be parking. The lot gets filled easily, so you have to be quick!
Leela Thai
I say that because it is so hard to find parking on Silverlake Blvd. So try to find the perfect time to eat here and it's all worth it. They don't offer the typical style dishes - they're more home cooked meals. I notice that they give you smaller portions, but they're good enough and delicious!
Asia
The food is great. There was a lot of buzz about this place when they first opened. The food is tasty and yum-o! They have fusion style cuisine that are both traditional and eclectic. They also offer sushi. There's only valet parking at front.
House Of Chan Dara
You always enjoy yourself here. Great Thai food with a modern twist. They have a bar and lots of dining space. There's valet parking or if you're lucky, street parking.
Marrakesh
Great Moroccan food. You eat with your hands and enjoy the belly dancers shaking around the restaurant. The decor is great. It's like you are in another place. Their menu is different so it really makes you want to try something new.
Buddha's Belly Restaurant
Nice, trendy, and good. It's a nicer type of Asian restaurant that fuses Chinese, Japanese, and Thai influences. I like their modern take of the traditional Asian dishes. They even infuse their rice with something which I can not figure, but its good. It gets quite busy. There's valet parking or street parking.
Habit Burger Grill
It's supposed to be a fast food place, but how they prepare your burgers is not fast food style at all. It's on the healthier side. They even have salads, which are actually pretty tasty and good. The burgers are not greasy and small. They're good!
Yamakawa
This used to be a great sushi place close by the studios. I've seen stars like Andy Garcia dine here. But they changed owners and it became a soju/sake bar that still has sushi. It looks like a bar/lounge now. And the sushi feels like it was store bought. They don't have a sushi bar anymore, so you don't see how you're sushi is being prepared. Too bad.
Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar
I like this cafe. They have a large selection in their menu. The place itself is huge. Great for accommodating large parties. They have everything from soups, salads, fish, chicken, barbecue...you name it, they have it. Portions are big, and prices are relatively good. It's a comfy place.
