Phoebe & Friends Dog Day-Night
I went to interview them before letting them care for my small dog. When you walk in the door, there is a counter that separates you from a dutch door to the large room. I wasn't allowed beyond the counter area. I poked my head in and saw large and small dogs mixed. It didn't look like a fun, stimulating, or large enough area. I was concerned about supervision and safety for my small dog.
Alton Road Nurseries
This is the only nursery that I know of below Lincoln Road. I wanted to support a small business, but I didn't find herbs or any potted plants that I would use on a condo patio.
Wash Club South Beach
Most condos have a washer and dryer. This is the place I go to when I need to wash over sized bedspreads. Parking isn't easy so you have to drive around a bit. It right by a Subway if you want to have a sub while you wait.
Stein's Hardware & Paint
I've gotten paint and brushes from Stein's. They can mix the color you want and carry a high quality paint. Parking isn't easy if you are getting something heavy like paint.
Om Garden
This is a small place. It has five stools at the counter and three tables that can seat two people. We had the pea soup that was OK, and the humous with pita bread. The humous had too much garlic. I had the Lavender Cheesecake. It's an expensive nut lavender concoction. There is free parking on the streets.
Rickys Miami
Ricky's has gag gifts, cards, and beauty supplies. It's fun to come in here and browse. They have costume items around Halloween Time. Parking isn't easy since this is Lincoln Road Mall.
Lee Alper & Son Jewelers
They have previously owned jewelry and new designs. I've sold scrap metal to this store. I had my husband's watch repaired. They did a good job, but it was expensive.
Joseph Conway: Allstate Insurance
We get our condo, car, and professional equipment insurance from Joseph Conway. The location is is part of the Courts and by the library. There is public parking on the street.
VCA Alton Road Animal Hospital
I tried this place a couple of times. There are too many people, and I didn't feel like one person was responsible for the care of my dog. It could have been cleaner. There is a small parking place in front.
Rocky's Italian Ice Llc
Located across from the Atlantic Ocean this place is a small walk-in store with great tasting gelato. The fruit flavors are very intense. Parking is impossible in this area so walk over.
