My sister-in-law recommended this place. They have consistent quality reed, but I think they're a little too pricey compared to some other suppliers. They do have a huge selection of un-dyed, dyed, and smoked reed as well as a large assortment of materials (ash, birch bark, etc.).

This store has a good selection of reed. Although their prices aren't quite as good as some other suppliers, they aren't far off. They offer Cushing dye which seems to work the best, if you want to dye your own reed. The also have a good assortment of pre-dyed bundles.

Amana Meat Shop
This business offers mostly smoked meats (bacon, ham, etc.), as well as some steaks and chops. Since we didn't have any way to keep those cold, we bought some interesting sauces. They were pricey, but of very good quality.
Smokehouse Square Antiques
We did some serious browsing at this store but didn't buy based on the prices. They have some really unique items. The staff was very friendly and didn't seem to mind our browsing.
Hahn Bakery
As with everything else in the Amana colonies, the bakery is good quality food at above average prices. We bought bread and sweets (muffins and cookies) and were very happy with the quality of all.
The Ronneburg Restaurant
We had a larger group for dinner at this restaurant. They serve everything family style, and there was plenty of food for everyone. The highlight was dessert which was included. My uncle is known as "the pie guy" (my aunt is a marvelous baker) but he couldn't finish his pie. My husband couldn't let it go uneaten, so he ate both his and Lloyd's. The stuff of family memories.

Kraus builds their homes with steel studs, so be careful when you try to hang pictures. They stand behind their work and offer a good product at a reasonable price.
