I wouldn't recommend this place! The chicken I had was not cooked all the way and the teriyaki sauce they use or make was not that great (maybe to hide the uncooked chicken!) Anyway, needless to say, I got sick.
Okay so we decided to try this new restaurant downtown for lunch. I wasn't expecting a lot because restaurants usually come and go in the area. They have a variety of food - burgers, sandwiches, noodles, flatbreads, wraps, and salads. The salad I ordered was a lunch portion, but it was a high above my salad bowl. And you have to try their sweet potato fries! The staff and service were awesome! I'm definitely coming back and I'm sure this restaurant will be here for many many years!
OMG! The food is cheap! You can get a meal for $3.95! This little hole-in-the-wall cafe caters to SJSU students. But I come here often when I'm hungry, lazy and looking for some fried & grilled food! It's small but when you're hungry, it'll do.
The dishes are huge for what you pay and the food is good. I prefer their food better than the other mexican taquerias in the area. Plus, the restaurant is cleaner! However, their chips are mediocre.
This Irish Coffee House is downtown near the SJ Arena, along the Guadelupe River Park. One morning we decided to try this coffee place, and we were impressed! They serve breakfast and lunch. And our breakfast was very big and hearty. The coffee was different from the "Starbucks-like" coffee/espresso but it was really good. It is in a weird location at the corner of Julian, St. John and the ramp to SB 87. The parking is limited, so I'd rather walk or go there early.
This family-owned bistro and cafe is in the heart of downtown san jose. My son and I used to go here to hang out and eat lunch when I was a stay-at-home mom. The gyros are my favorite. They also make awesome blended mochas! And the owners are very friendly.
Get your best sourdough bread right here! There is always a fresh baked sourdough bread that comes right out of the oven when you make your order. The service is great! They are friendly, quick, and efficient. If you are downtown and in a mood for a full-filling sandwich, this is the place to eat. They are located on 3rd Street, across from St. James park, in a newly remodeled brick building.
Laurel's Delight is conveniently close to work and home and to me it's the best comfort food. For lunch they have salad and sandwiches. My favorites are the Mexican Salad and the Spinach Egg Salad. I love the Meatloaf Sandwich. Also, they have the best Chicken Cilantro soup. They just started serving dinner. The pasta dishes are good and the Au jus sandwich is really good. The restaurant itself clean, tidy, and very casual. I come here often to get that home-like comfort food!
So at the last minute we decided to drive up north towards Oregon this year for vacation. We stayed at the Woodland Villa Market/Cabins because their website stated they had WI-FI. In fact, that was the main reason why we decided to lodge there. When we got there, there was no WI-FI access. We were bummed.
They are located right off 101, and that was annoying. At night and early morning, you can hear the cars, trucks, and motorcycles pass by making it hard to fall asleep.
However, the cabin we stayed in was clean and very cozy. We liked the little kitchenette as they had everything we needed to store and cook our food. And the market was conveniently close by.
I have put off braces for years because I thought it would be inconvenient, uncomfortable, and painful. But I finally went for it and since this was my first time, I wanted the best orthodontics care in my area. After several references, I have decided to go with Phelps & Cohen because, well, they are the best! They have super friendly staff that are efficient and caring. And both doctors work together to make sure you get the best treatment and achieve great results. So far I've noticed many changes in my teeth but I have had no pains or complaints whatsoever. Thank you Phelps and Cohen for making this a comfortable experience for me!
