this place is just adorable. right near the post office. The owners are just lovely and keep the chocolate quite assorted. they have a very unique "cereal bar" that you should try. Some of the best prices on the island
Avalon Super Market
I shop here for things that I need last minute. they have a nice selection. But mostly i run here for deli (or the salad bar next door). The meats and cheeses are fresh and they have a little section with prepared foods...kind of pricey. But then again, this is the shore
Avalon Salad Bar
If you want something fresh, quick and tasty - you should try this place. Right next to the Avalon supermarket and owned by the same people. It is a nice assortment of fresh veggies, fruits, drinks, etc. you can even order a special sandwich. It is a tight wait for the items, as the place is qutie small.
Pudgie Pelican Cafe
this is a nice place for breakfast or lunch. My husband was disappointed they didnt serve corned beef hash. the service is kind of slow. I think the kitchen finds it hard keeping up with the table service.
Windrift Restaurant
The Windrift has something for everyone! th food is very good, and the entertainment is constant. they are open year round. they have lots of things to do in the summer and they are located right on the beach
P K Mc Cool's Grill
this place has avery 50's surfer kind of feel to it. the food is fresh and the milkshakes are deliscious! It sits right in the center of town. It is know that big, but the service is quick

Talk about a real local 'feel'. Maggies is just lovely. and so is Maggie. the wait staff is all so friendly and the turkey salad is to die for. they now are doing dinners as well....in season
Karen & Rei's Spotted Dog Cafe
this is a very different place for the shore. Kkind of just like desserts and stuff. It is dark inside. I was disappointed the Amazon cafe didnt make it in the spot. i liked that much better
Waffle House
I really like going here as opposed to Uncle Bill's because sometimes the kids dont get moving until much later in the day and by the time we get there, i at least have the option of doing something for lunch while they dine on breakfast. there is usually a line, but it goes very quickly. very good food. nice staff
Princeton Bar & Grill
My husband loves the new look of the Princeton. they really made it over nice. ou have to go early or there is a decent wait, although they have a nice area outside to sit and lounge while you are waiting. their raw bar is wonderful and the soups are really good! you have to try the crab cakes....my friend from Maryland says they are even better then theirs!
