Creative Lighting is located on Concordia close to 94. It is set in the back, so I would highly recommend checking our their website for exact directions because you can't see it from the street.
Creative Lighting specializes in lamps, chandeliers, fans, and outside lighting fixtures. They have an incredible variety of lighting options. Be prepared to go in and spend money.
If you don't have a lot of money to spend I would recommend checking out their clearance room. There are usually some good finds in there for 50% or more off the original price.
Creative Lighting also has a website you can purchase off of. They ship throughout the US.
I would recommend this store for those people who are serious and have the money to spend on bike's and bicycle equipment. If you want a bike for just cruising around the neighborhood I would not recommend this shop. However, if you're looking for an urban commuter bike this is your spot.
The staff is helpful, but if you're not looking to buy right then they are less likely to give you a lot of their attention.
The other half of the store sells hockey equipment.
This small shop does not do much advertising throughout the Twin Cities. There are 2 artists and one intern that work out of the shop. Their work is pretty average.
Their overall customer service is satisfactory, but nothing out of this world.
Up Six is located right off the corner of Selby and Snelling near Play It Again Sports. This is a small store that specializes in vintage/retro clothes and furniture. If you are looking for funky accessories for your home this would be a great place to stop.
However, if you're looked for vintage clothing, they have a lot of 70s shirts and dresses, but nothing that is worth what they are priced at.
I love Ossip Optometry because they consistently have the best selection of eye glasses. Their merchandise includes designer frames and lesser names, but they always have the perfect ones for you. The staff on hand is always very friendly and helpful, and they are clearly dedicated to finding the best look for you. I suggest stopping in if you are looking for frames that are new and maybe even a little unique!
Kona Jack's is an excellent seafood restaurant! It is located in a strip mall, so you might not expect much, but the food and service are both great. You can have basically whatever fresh fish you desire, and there is even a sushi menu! Kona Jack's is great for lunch or dinner, and the prices are what you would expect from any seafood restaurant. I would recommend this place to anyone!
This shop is basically a warehouse of wedding gowns. There is an enormous selection of designers, styles and prices in this place. The staff is pretty friendly, but it is a very large store, so it is hard to feel like you matter when you are there. It is important to make an appointment so that you can assure you are getting the best service and dress at the best price!
During my visit at this boutique they were having a trunk show so we were limited with which designers dresses we could look at. Even though we were limited to the designer the woman assisting us didn't seem to understand or help my sister narrow in on what type of dress would be right for her.
At this boutique you are not allowed to go and look at dresses with her instead you have to wait for her to pull dresses for you.
It was a frustrating trip.
Legends reminds me of a Champps, but more cozy and less sports centered. This Legends offers great customer service and quickly gets your food to the table.
Being an American grill you can get anything from a Cobb salad to a cheeseburger to fettuccine alfredo.
There menu is very competitively priced and all entrees come with a salad.
Wet World is run by a gentleman named Mike who is always willing to offer tips and help you setup a great tank. He has a large amount of freshwater fish and a fair amount of marine creatures.
His salt water fish selection is limited to only coral safe fish. So if you're looking for a Trigger or Lion Fish this is not the place to go.
If you're interested in coral, reef, or salt water fish you have to hit Wet World at the right time. Sometime his tanks are in great shape with all different kinds of corals and fish, while other times it's pretty bare in there.
Mike is a great resource, but know in advance what you're going in for and know a budget because he is definitely a sales man and he'll start loading you up with product that quickly adds up.
