Spa On Paces
I went to the Spa on Paces to relax the day before I took the LSAT. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and accommodating, and I really liked the look of the spa. When my therapist, Jaime, greeted me she took me right into my massage room and told me to change and hang my stuff on the hook. I was a little surprised, because for a spa that boasts "Celebrity/VIP Treatment," I didn't understand why there wasn't a changing room. I ended up folding most of my clothes and leaving them on the floor, since there was no way to hang all of my clothes on a hook. When my therapist returned I let her know that I just wanted to relax. I never had the opportunity to relax the entire time. The massage was extremely rough and she kept shaking me to see if I was relaxed or to get me to relax. After my hour of pain and torture, I felt terrible. To top it off, they don't offer a shower room for you to wash off the oil. They don't even give you a towel to wipe off. You have to get dressed and walk around greasy, until you can get home to shower. I didn't feel relaxed at all; I felt more like I had been beat up for an hour. I was extremely disappointed and felt like I had just wasted a lot of money. I called the next day to mention that I was extremely sore and felt that I didn't receive the service I had paid for. (I thought since their website also mentioned exceptional customer service there would surely be something to rectify the situation.) The young lady on the phone was extremely rude to me, and blew me off by taking my phone number. She blamed the soreness on me, saying that I didn't drink enough water and the toxins couldn't release from my muscles. My fianc is a doctor, and my intelligence was insulted by this made up excuse about toxins. Overall, this was the worst spa experience I have ever had. I would not recommend this spa to anyone; there are much better spas in Atlanta
