Cleo's Brazilian Steakhouse

Right next to the Super 8. Great place to eat. Kind of pricey but, well worth it. Meat. Meat. Meaty meat. Mmmm... It was a weekend evening and my partner was on a crazy diet that limited what he could eat. But meat was allowed and there's something irresistible about sitting down to your own set of tongs. And these days, $20 is easy to part with when it fills you up.
Come here hungry. There was enough stuff at the salad bar to pick from to take the edge off all the protein. And through all our meat eating, I, not surprisingly discovered that I tended to favor the beef stuff over the others. Also loved the banana and sliced pineapple.
The place is filled with all sorts of people: families, couples, groups of people that appear to know each other, and other random meat-eaters.

Next Door Tapas

I went here for drinks the other night with a friend and remembered how much I enjoy this bar. It's hard to find a bar with a great atmosphere and this bar has it. But still just three stars due to the outrageous martini prices. Stick to the winehe shitake mushrooms, the wedges, the creme broulee!

East Express

Great place to eat sushi. Fresh and inviting. Parking is hard to find, but the place itself is worth the hassle. Try the Chirashi bowl. The owner is very friendly with large portions at an affordable price.

Cafe Aldente

If you like Italian food you need to try this place. It's a family run operation with great food and reasonable prices. The pasta dishes are the tops. We had the pesto fettucine and salmon vodka pink sauce fettucine last night which were both excellent.

The Flame Broiler

So I just moved into the area and while I have no kitchen I have been eating here. It's a great little place to pick up a fresh, fast, affordable meal. I mean $5.99 for a large portioned hoagie, is alright by me. I would suggest the Chinese chicken salad (yum! in fact i've had 3 this week!) as well as the sweet potato fries. My husband swears by the mac n cheese.

Kyoto Sushi 5

LOVE HAPPY HOUR!!!

The sushi is always so fresh and the waitresses are always super friendly. It's a great deal too because the meal comes with soup, salad, and fruit at the end. Sometimes the sushi chef surprises us with an extra side as well. I definately love this place :)

West End Cafe

This place is fantastic. If you are looking for great atmosphere and a terrific hookah experience this is the place to go. Drinks, food and hookah are all moderately priced. Hookah is international-travel friendly, non-intrusive and relaxed.

Pollos Puebla

This place is GOOD! the only catch is its in a little Rowdy shopping center especially at night.I came here after work one time and there was a Huge black man blocking the entrance.He demanded that i buy him a burrito or get beat down.Now i aint trying to get beat up over a burrito..id recomend puebla number two,more friendly area..

Bus Boat

The location is nothing to brag about. The place itself is about the size of my bathroom and its in the san rafael transit center which doesn't exactly scream "eat here."With all that said, they serve up a mean gyro. Now, I've been to my fair share of gyro spots and you really can't beat the price and taste here. For $5 you'll get a lamb gyro and be on your merry way to catch your awaiting golden gate transit, greyhound or shuttle bus.

Little Mandarin

Good place to go for lunch.
The decor isnt' the nicest but it's cheap.
They are very friendly here, which convinced me to stay as I normally do not eat this kind of Chinese food. Reminded me of my friends Mom when she would cook for us. I ordered off the menu for more traditional dishes.
