Taqueria Los Ruiz

Great local taco shop, best shrimp burrito in PB! I am always satisfied with the service there, they have never messed up my order. I usually take out, but they do have some tables inside and out if you want to dine in. The prices are reasonable and they have a large selection of items on their menu to choose from. If you want some good Mexican grub I recommend you stop by.

Dollar Video

...ok, the new releases are not really a dollar, but its still WAY less than any other place to rent videos. Great little place to get movies from in Pacific Beach.

Divine Ink

Save money and still create very unique invitations for any occasion. Rory at Divine Inks is so incredibly sweet and helpful. I bought supplies from her and put together my own wedding invitations. They turned out beautiful and no one could tell that I made them myself! You would be amazed at how easy it is to do yourself (even if you aren't the crafty type). You will be thrilled with the outcome and how much money you save!! Rory has all the supplies you need to complete your project, including a handy little tape roller that will make assembling a breeze!

PROS: Easy cost saving solution, wide variety of options

Sesame Donuts

I LOVE this little place! It is kind of hidden in a little strip mall just off of Carmel Mountain Road between Olive Garden and Chevron. Their donuts are the tastiest in town and the donut holes are TO DIE FOR! Friendly customer service and freshest donuts in town!

California Bicycle Inc

This bike shop has it all. I recently bought a light speed there, not only did I get a smokin' deal, I was got fitted on my bike so it fits me perfectly. They have top of the line equipment and just about everything you could ever need from a bike shop. The entire staff is really nice and extremely knowledgeable. They even have Rock n' Republic jerseys for sale! For bikes and stuff, I fully recommend them. Seoul B.B.Q.

This place has very authentic Korean cuisine. If you want to try Korean food, you should try New Seoul BBQ. If you already like Korean food, you will definitely enjoy this restaurant. They are in the process of obtaining their liquor license so they do not currently serve alcohol, but when they do it will only add to the experience.

PROS: Authentic Korean cuisine
CONS: $$ Pricey

Irons in the Fire

I LOVE this place!! I had my wedding reception here and the service was nothing short of spectacular, we had 120 people and they assigned 1 waiter for every 2 tables, totally professional and SO nice! The food was exceptional and the prices are totally reasonable (compared to most venues). They even boxed up people??s food to go!! I live in San Diego and was able to plan every last detail with them remotely via email. They have a brand new building with a state of the art sound system, LCD??s, a lounge, fire pit, and a long veranda that wraps around the entire restaurant with a little view of the ocean. Cathy McKnight and Britney Rickard were very good to work with. I recommend this venue for anyone having any kind of event.

Pearl Chinese Cuisine

If you want a light, quick and delicious lunch stop here for Dim Sum. Dim Sum is a traditional Chinese cuisine that is served in small portions usually an assortment of steamed and fried dumplings, veggies and other interesting things. They also have a full menu for lunch and dinner.

Turf Supper Club

This place is one of my absolute favorite low key spots for dinner n' drinks. I heard it has changed hands, but hopefully nothing else about it has changed. If you want to check out the new place, I heard you can find the old owners and friendly staff at their new location in La Mesa.

PROS: Tasty food, stiff drinks, good music, interesting crowd
CONS: Clothes will smell like bbq, no reservations
