Tailoring Express
I have been going here for a year and would not go any where else! I go here to get my jeans repaired and tailored and the quality is excellent. The timing varies sometimes they can have it to you on that day , but I am usually not in a rush so i don't mind waiting 3 days for a pair of jeans. Pricing varies on how much labor and material will be used on the clothing. The service is very friendly and warm. If you ever need clothing to be repaired or better fitted this is the place.
Tacos El Gordo
These are as close as you can get to tacos from Mexico. The food is prepared fast and service is great. The tacos are full of flavor and also you fill you up as well. These are not your dinky taco bell tacos, but full on tacos. A great place.
Armando's Mexican Food
This is a great local Mexican food restaurant. Their carne asada fries are great and simple, fries, cheese, meat, guacamole and that is it! Their California burritos are also great and simple as well. The food is also cheap and prepared fresh and fast. The service is great, its like family (well family you like). A must visit.
Julian Pie Co
I would like to start of by saying i am not a pie fan, unless the pies are from the Julian Pie Co. The pies are delicious and home made everyday. The best thing to get is their apple pie, which you can enjoy a slice there with coffee or a hot coco. Then bring back some whole pies to enjoy at home. The restaurant is also nice , it makes for a perfect day trip away from the city.
Golden Chopsticks Restaurant
Golden Chopsticks has to be my fav Chinese restaurant in San Diego. The food is great but it also very affordable, lunch specials cost 3.95-4.95 (coming with soup, rice). The best thing to order is the garlic chicken wings and beef chow mein. The service is also really friendly and the food is prepared fast. They also do party trays so if you want to be the life of the party bring a tray of wings and chow mein.
steadyBotique Unsteady
This boutique steady/unsteady is a fusion of underground hip hop clothing and far east styles. You can most definitely find clothes that make you stand out in the crowd if that is your wish. This place is a bit pricey but they always have great sales on great items. My favorite items are their jackets and shirts they are wild and out there and i have never seen anyone where the same shirt or jacket as me not even once. So if your tired of blending in , change your style with a visit to steady/unsteady boutique.
Zpizza
The service was great and friendly. The pizza was really good, they also stressed organic healthy pizza which was a nice change of pace. I enjoyed the build a pizza where you get to design your pizza to your liking. The pizza tasted great a must visit for all pizza lovers.
Lollicup Teazone
This boba place does not have the same vibe such as tea n more or tap ex. But if you need a quick boba fix and your around national city this place is pretty good. I would not recommend this place as a place to hangout and study with a group of people. This place is more of pick up and go.
Tractor Room
The tractor room is the sister restaurant of hash house a go go. They have a very extensive cocktail list (price varies about 7-10) and also can make drinks for you if asked. The food portions are massive (15-22) and serve meat such as wild boar or lamb. This is a great spot to go in downtown after work to grab a cocktail and eat a great dinner. Bring your appetite or share with a friend!
Lolita's Taco Shop
The best thing on the menu is the California burrrito or a good old plate of carne asada fries. The only drawback about this location, is the food portions are not that small. You will pay the same price as other the other branches just get less food. Other than that it is a great place to get your burrito fix.
