Fast Water Heater Company
We contacted Home Depot to get a new water heater as the company was responsible with the job at our former residence. We understood HD was working with a new company and so they sent out an individual from Fast Water Heater Company. The man noted a few problems, which is always unnerving when you just want something fixed. I went ahead and had him complete the work (July 2011) as he seemed honest and down-to-earth. He did the job, cleaned everything up, and explained what he did. When the city came out to inspect the work, I asked if the additions had been needed and she said yes. This was a relief. The company did everything they were supposed to and the inspector gave the job a thumbs up.
Potato Corner
There is a lot of buzz around town about this restaurant. I went recently with several other moms. We all enjoyed our dinner and had a great waiter. I had steak with some confetti vegetables and it was delicious. A bit too much to eat then so I brought the leftovers home. Give this place a try!
Hico
A friend recommended Mike from Hico. The company is family owned and was one of three painting bids we received. His price was very competitive and we decided to go with him. The guys got the job done as promised. They painted several rooms inside our home and also worked on cleaning up and painting a rusty side gate. Overall, they did a great job. There were a couple of spots on an inside door frame that they should have wiped off (color on white frame) and someone did scratch our downstairs bathroom counter. Nevertheless, I would still recommend this company.
Judy Jensen - Realty Executives
Judy Jensen works hard to find or sell your home. She is honest, kind, and diligent. She wants to get your house sold at the proper price. If you want to find a home, she wants to make sure that you get what you are looking for. She responds best to phone calls, but does also correspond through email.
Allen Air
We used Allen Air when we had to fix a problem with our air conditioning before we sold our last residence. He spent a considerable amount of time examining the problem and even partially fixing it at no charge. (He completed the job after we hired him.) Another company that examined the problem before Allen charged us money just to look at it and do nothing. We used Allen Air again after we had moved to service our heating/air conditioning unit.
Bouquet Tile & Marble
This is a family-owned business. The owners were knowledgeable and friendly. They came to our home and provided an estimate for replacing our kitchen counters. One main reason we did not choose them is that we would have had to go to the valley to see the full selection of granite offered. Their prices were very competitive, however, and I would recommend others give them a chance.
Clark Pest Control
We had an ant problem in the winter months and this company was recommended by our HOA so we decided to give it a try. The owner was polite and suggested a one-time treatment outside around the house would likely take care of the problem. He was correct. The only complaint would be that I had to wait two days for him to come, but it all turned out good.
Roger M. De Sesa, DC
Dr. De Sesa came and spoke to our MOMS Club about wellness. He was personable and informative and offered a special deal to our moms. I took him up on it and received a full evaluation and x-rays. It was my first time to a chiropractor and it was very interesting and informative. Because a fellow mom spoke highly of him and had a good experience, I also felt I could trust what he suggested.
Shirley Family Daycare
Kim Shirley is a kid herself! She offers a small childcare facility very convenient for moms in Saugus. She is very patient and easy going with kids. She's a great teacher and lets the kids get very messy and creative. They produce special event programs for the parents (such as Halloween and Christmas). She enjoys what she does!
La Toscana Trattoria & Deli
This is a small, charming, nice and quiet restaurant. The soup was delicious and came in a huge bowl! The salad was good. The spaghetti and meatballs were plentiful although the meatballs tasted as though they might have been frozen. Service was great. I would go back and try something again. I would go again only with my hubby as my kids (ages 4 and 2) would be too loud for this nice quiet place.
