Nature's Deli
It's good, it's filling, it's priced right, but the ambiance is severely lacking. It's more like a diner than a restaurant, so I don't go here when I'm treating myself. Service is fine, and the meals I've had are about average in quality, nothing outstanding.
Ed Robinson Laundry & Dry Clng
Ed's customer service and prices are really great. Their same day service has been a godsend, too. They have been able to remove stains I never thought would come out. Can't recommend them highly enough.
Tripp's Fine Cleaners
These guys are my backup when going to Ed's is out of the question. The prices aren't too bad, particularly when they have specials, and the location on Forest is very convenient.
Sleep Med Of South Carolina
I have struggled with sleep apnea for years, and the folks here are just the best in terms of helping you through any challenges you are experiencing. I had a follow-up appointment today, and the nurse gave me lots of really helpful suggestions, along with samples of medicines I could try to see if they will give me relief from the allergy symptoms I have that interfere with my using the CPAP machine on a nightly basis. Anyway, they are great folks, you hardly have to wait at all (today I went right in).
Good Wood Finished Unfinished
I recently had to replace a wooden bed frame, and I couldn't think of any place I'd rather go to than GoodWood. The Shaker style bed I picked out was of very high quality, and I got to stain it just the way I wanted it! I have refinished tables and even a sofa frame once before, so I knew I would enjoy the experience, but working with the store staff was very pleasant as well, and they offered good suggestions to make the process run smoothly. Highly recommend these folks!
Hawthorne Pharmacy & Med Equip
I love being able to wholeheartedly support local businesses who take their responsibilities to their community seriously. Hawthorne is such a place. I am particularly pleased with them as a compounding pharmacy, because they have done a fabulous job formulating several creams and drops for me.
Frank's Car Wash,COLUMBIA
Frank's has been around forever, and it's always racking up awards. No wonder, with the consistently exceptional work they do. This is the only full service car wash I go to when I am treating my auto to its semi-annual thorough cleaning! (I just have to make do the rest of the time!)
Tiny Treasures
Tiny Treasures's new Forest Drive location is more expansive than their old Richland Mall shop, but the clothing is still fabulous! The selection isn't huge, but the quality is exceptional, and you will find yourself ooh-ing and ahhh-ing over the merchandise. This is one of those great local alternatives to the big chain stores. It's lots of fun to browse for your own kids or to find something special for a child in your life.
Mary & Martha's: A Kitchen Shop
Mary and Martha's has only been around since 2006, but their reputation is already solid. The great thing about the store is that you can purchase basic kitchen needs plus you can pick up cool serving pieces as well as items to support your budding kid cooks--down to a Little Cooks chef's jacket!
Be Beep A Toy Shop
This is the way a toy store should be...very hands on, attentive staff, reasonable prices, and it's not one of the overwhemingly big chains. The displays are enticing and the variety of selections is out of this world. This is a great place for your kids to "test drive" a toy they're interested in...can't do that at those other toy stores!
