First Street Veterinary Hosp
I decided to try First Street when I moved back to Oregon. It was recommended by a couple of friends and I'm glad I decided to take our new puppy here. The customer service and personal attention is outstanding and I especially love that they have a patch of green grass out front that is "Open for Business" so that dogs can do there thing (plus they provide clean bags).
Veritable Quandary
I remember going to the VQ way back in the 80's when i worked downtown. It was great then and it's still a great place to go for good food and a good time.
Paragon Bar & Cafe
I love Paragon for the location in The Pearl the inviting decor and the delicious comfort food. It's also a fun place to meet friends old and new. Check it out.
Huber's Cafe
It's what they're famous for and it's definitely worth the show. Huber's has been a Portland mainstay for nightlife and great atmosphere for many years.
Tucci
Our family loves Italian food. My husband is Italian and grew up eating some of the best homemade Italian food plus we have traveled several times to Italy and eaten in some of the best restaurants in the world. Therefore we can honestly say that Tucci is a great restaurant that serves fantastic Italian food. The wine list is splendid and the chocolate polenta cake is to die for.
Five Spice Seafood + Wine Bar
I've eaten lunch and dinner at Five Spice several times and it's always good. The interior is beautiful and the view of the lake is great...it can be seen from most tables.
Proximity Hotel
Staying at the Proximity was a wonderful experience. The decor is amazing...when I walked in my first thought was "Very swanky and hip". You have to see the bathroom in the guest room to appreciate how cool it is. From the British style hotel taxis to the billowy white curtains surrounding the hotel entrance to the mood lighting in the lobby everything about this hotel is unique and elegant. The service was also outstanding. Great hotel!
Rooster's Wood-Fired Kitchen
I visited Charlotte recently and the wood fire smell in the air attracted us to Rooster's for lunch. The service was friendly and the food was delicious.
Bluehour
I've been to Bluehour several times--sometimes for cocktails & appetizers and more times for dinner. Bluehour is consistently great on all accounts. The decor & ambiance are elegant and inviting and the service is top notch. Everything I've tasted at Bluehour is exquisite. I've traveled the world and eaten at many wonderful restaurants and Bluehour is in my top 10 of the best.
Yes, it is expensive but not outrageously so and it's definitely worth a trip for a special occasion.
