Prestige Senior Living Huntington Terrace
A very nice facility and reasonably priced in todays market. The administrative staff is friendly enough, but I do find them to often be visiting among themselves, rather than paying attention to to coming and goings of residents and outside visitors. The grounds are well maintained and the service staff very friendly.They do allow residents to have pets, which I believe is comforting for elderly people.
Mallard Landing
We moved my elderly mother in law into Mallard Landing, much to her disapproval. It had become impossible for her to live on her own.
The administrative staff was very helpful, completing all paper work and making it easy and convenient for us. The assistance staff was very kind and attentive.
My mother in law wasn't the easiest patient to deal with, however I must say, she really did love the place and the staff.
I would highly recommend Mallard Landing and have sometimes wished that I lived there myself.
Sisters Drug & Gift
An absolutely fabulous place to visit. Don't think you can just run in and out of this place. There is such a variety of things to look at and BUY. The Christmas display is up year round and it can certainly get you in the spirit in the middle of summer. They have a great area of kitchen gadgets.Prices are reasonable for a town relying on tourists and it is a FUN place to visit. Parking is a challenge close up, but when in Sisters you should expect to walk.
Goody's Soda Fountain & Candy
What a fun place to visit and have an ice cream cone or sundae. The staff is very fun and really seem to enjoy their jobs. The ice cream is wonderful and the prices are comparable to the chain ice cream shops, but with a lot more enthusiasm by the workers.I've visited their Sun River location and it's a great place too.
Hamilton's/Hattan's Appliance Service
I wouldn't go to another appliance store, before checking with Hamilton's first. I've purchased a number of appliances from them over the years. There prices are very reasonable and when we bought a new refrigerator they were willing to match the Costco price.
The staff is very friendly and willing to work to get the best deal for their customer.
I live 40 miles away now, but I'd still travel the distance to purchase my appliance from Hamilton's.
Miller's One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning
I highly recommend Miller's for new installations and annual servicing of heating and air units.
A few years ago we had a heat pump installed at our home. Miller's was one of several quotes that we received. They were in the middle, but when we checked their references, they came out on top!
Their technicians are very knowledgeable, the installer was on time and cleaned up when his job was completed.
We have our unit service by Miller's every year.
Rose's Restaurant
A newer location for Rose's, but the same good food. Service was good and the entree was tasty, but dessert is FABULOUS. I almost think that you should just go there for dessert.
I'm glad that Rose's has expanded from downtown Portland.
Parking at this location is very convenient to the building.
A Storage Place - Clackamas
Our club is currently using A Storage Place for storing our show inventory, ways and means and educational material.
The location is convenient, right off I205 and it is very clean and the lighting is great. It feel like a safe place. Being in an upstairs location is somewhat cumbersome, but the facility does have plenty of rolling carts for transporting stuff, the parking is very convenient and there is a freight elevator.
Paying your rental 1 year at a time will gain you a free months rent. I do recommend this location for your storage needs.
Little Pizza Paradise
A great little place for pizza. Good selection of items to create your own or get the standard menu item. You can eat in or take out. Everything was fresh and the salad was delicious.
I felt the prices might be a bit more expensive that most pizza restaurants, however the food was worth it.
Wild River Gallery
I visited this store with a friend who was having some original art work framed. The owner was very attentive and tried very hard to find the right materials to match the picture at a reasonable price.This frame shop uses quality materials; including museum glass for the original painting.I was impressed and wouldn't hesitate to take my art to be framed at this location.
