A few months ago Dr Baum did a total right hip replacement on me. This was the most serious surgery that I have ever had and I was plenty worried about it! Dr Baum assured me that he had had the same surgery and that I would be pleased with the results. He was right!
I've had a fairly quick recovery and am feeling better than I have for quite some time. I have full confidence in Dr Baum and will probably be going back for surgery on my left hip before too long.
My neurologist suggested that I get physical therapy for a painful condition in my right leg. I chose Physical Therapy Assoc in Estacada because it was convenient and close to home. In the time that I went there I was treated by four different therapists and each was very efficient and pleasant. I was always able to get an appointment that fit into my schedule and they never made me wait for more than a few minutes.
Due to insurance reasons I had to change therapy providers but I am still very thankful for the good work that Physical Therapy Assoc did for me. Good people!
Mike's is proof that one man's junk is another man's treasure---whether junk or treasure it is always interesting!
The first impression may be of a cluttered and barely organized collection of castoffs. One could spend hours trying to find something here---OR, ask Mike, he can tell you the exact location of even the tiniest item in the store. Mike knows whether he has what you are looking for, where it is and what it costs.
The prices are not the cheapest and sometimes Mike has strong opinions but, overall, it's a store well worth visiting. Some things just won't be found anywhere else.
I'm really not much of a gardener but that doesn't stop me from trying! Each spring I prepare my little garden area then stop at McGregor's to buy my plants. The people at McGregor's are familiar with the Eagle Creek and Estacada area and are always happy to give me the advantage of their knowledge when selecting and caring for my plants. If I have any questions about the merits of a particular cultivar they do their best to steer me toward the one best suited to my needs.
The service is good, selection is good and prices are good.
You know how it is when you're in inventor mode and you need some odd piece that is nearly indescribable---you don't know what might work but you'll know it when you see it? Uncle Sam probably built that exact part for some completely different purpose and now Sgt Gator has it for a dirt cheap price!
Recently I've bought indoor/outdoor rugs that were very lightly used for pennies on the dollar, NOS Navy mattress covers that made great dog beds, some throw-away clothing for when I patched my roof, work gloves, weather-tight steel ammo storage cans, etc. Even when there is nothing in particular that I want I stop in just to see what is available and usually find something that is "just too good to pass up".
I've always been treated fairly by helpful staff.
Sandy Insurance Center has insured my home for several years but I never even asked them about car insurance. Finally my car insurance got too high so I went shopping for something better. Sandy Insurance got me the same coverage that I had from my previous insurer at less than half the cost. I wish I had talked to them many years ago.
The whole process of changing insurers was handled quickly and with no effort on my part. I have an excellent driving record so I assumed that my former insurer was giving me a good rate, boy, was I wrong! Sandy Insurance Center is great!
In a town that loves its beer John's is an institution. Hundreds and hundreds of beers in stock at all times! If there is a particular beer that you have always wanted to try John's probably has it in stock.
Oh yeah, there's wine and some other things too. I wish I could tell you more but I was overwhelmed by the beer!
Dr Orth has been my family doctor for nearly 20 years. This is as good as it gets! In addition to being one of the friendliest and nicest people he is also a really terrific doctor. He always has helpful, friendly office staff. I rarely have to wait more than a few minutes when I have an appointment. I have never felt like I was being rushed to make room for the next patient.
Sara Kauffman, F.N.P., works with Dr Orth and also is very good. Sara always has time for questions and seems to really care for, and about, her patients.
I've been going to Estacada Vision Clinic for as long as I have been wearing glasses. Dr Hamel has always been very thorough in her examinations and pleased to answer any questions that I may have. The only time that I had an injury to one of my eyes Dr Hamel got me right in and fixed me right up. In addition to good eye care Estacada Vision Clinic has a nice selection of frames. It's close to home and saves me a trip to Portland.
