I've been here maybe 1/2 dozen times for lunch with friends.

The atmosphere is low-key, sitting outside is lovely and the food is good, very fresh and reasonably priced.

Gordon, Jay B, Md - Culver City Medical Group

Dr. Gordon has been my primary care doctor for a number of years. He's in the Culver City Medical Group, which I found after changing doctors twice in a couple of years (not happy with the previous doctors).

Dr. Gordon is very down to earth and has been very helpful in providing referrals and sorting though whatever comes up health wise. He also returns his phone calls in a very timely manner!

Also, Culver City Medical Group has both a lab and a pharmacy in the office...very convenient to have lab work done on the spot and pick up prescriptions too.

Shirin, Sophie, Md - Sophie Shirin Medical Ofc

I saw Dr. Shirin a couple of years ago. I went to her for a specific issue (acne), which she was able to help with and the problem cleared up within a couple of months.

However, I was turned off because on more than visit (including my first) she talked to me about Botox and pointed out the specific areas that I could benefit from it. I was not interested and in fact, I resented the fact that my appointment time was used in part to try to sell me Botox.

Michelle A. Putnam, MD

After several years of recurring sinus infections and other referrals, I was referred to Dr. Putnam (ENT). She diagnosed my allergies (many) and I went to her office for several years for regular allergy shots. She is down-to-earth, very personable and understood that having surgery was not my first choice - she really worked with me to avoid that.

Ultimately though, even with the allergy shots, my sinus infections did not stop - I eventually had sinus surgery with her. It's been 2 years and I have not had a sinus infection (I was getting them 4x a year).

Stella Koletic, DDS

We found Dr. Koletic for our daughter, after a not so good experience with our previous dentist.

Dr. Koletic is experienced with working with children, and explains what she is doing, as she goes. In our daughter's case, she ended up needing a retainer, and a couple of extractions along the way (baby teeth very very slow to fall out).

Remarkably, even with all this, my daughter does not dread going to the dentist. Watching Spongebob on the TV while work is being done on her mouth helps, but the reassurances of Dr. Koletic and her staff go a long way towards making this a very comfortable environment for children.

Thomas Glassman, M.D.

Dr. Glassman has been our daughter's doctor since she was born (he saw her in the hospital shortly after her birth). We have been going to him ever since (9 years) and have been very happy. He talks directly to children and really seems to enjoy his work.

The office has drop-in between 8-9 am during the week and also Sat morning appointments. They also have a lab right in the office, so you don't need to go somewhere else when it's time for yearly tests. The office calls you promptly with results, and Dr. Glassman returns phone calls very quickly.

John Piechowski Automotive

I have been going to Piechowski's for many years...through 3 or 4 cars...

John has taken care of major car problems for me (head gasket replacement) and small (oil change)...he has looked into weird problems for me (like when my seat belt light was flashing when I was wearing the seat belt).

Unlike some shops, Piechowski's does not talk down to women. Generally, your car is ready by the time he says it will be (or before).

And...his prices are extremely reasonable. It is an excellent deal...

I have referred many people to his shop over the years. I cannot say enough good things about Piechowski's.

Chili My Soul - CLOSED

They have a great variety (always changing) - I can always find a non-bean, mild chili. Part of the fun is picking out your toppings (staff can make recommendations based on what you order). Also fun is tasting the different chilis when deciding what you want. The fries are unbelievable....

It is a very relaxed atmosphere and you get a great meal (very filling) for a good price.

Claudio Marino Hair Design

I have been a client of Jenny's @ Claudio Marino for many years....for cuts and color. She is wonderful! She also cuts my daughter's hair, and does a great job with her as well (always giving her a lollipop @ the end of the haircut, when my daughter was younger). I would highly recommend her.

She is very accommodating with appointment times. Cuts & color are reasonably priced.
