I liked going to this restaurant when I had time during school. Everything I've tried there has been tasty, but the lentils are in a class of their own.
The Issaquah Boehms store even looks the part of a Swiss store. Their candies are awesome. Not too sweet and a good variety. For a deal ask for their broken chocolates.
We don't always drive to the airport, but when we do, this has been a great place to leave the car. It is easy to access, and we have never had to wait more than a minute or two for the shuttle.
Zeeks on Phinney Ridge is the post game favorite gathering place for our soccer team. Their pizza is great and it is relaxed so you can move tables together for a good time with lots of friends. The service can be just a little on the slow side sometimes, but once it is there the taste makes you forget you had been waiting. A small parking lot helps when on-street parking is scarce.
A great place to find hand made items that are different than anything you will find at most stores. Art and useful items for the home. It is a great place to go when you can't think of what to get for someone special. Ten Thousand Villages is a fair trade store where you can feel good shopping.
The staff at the Maple Leaf Ace store are so helpful. I like to do things myself, but don't always know what I need and they are great with suggestions and finding something to replace a broken piece I bring in. There are closer hardware stores, but I keep going back to Maple Leaf for the workers. Parking is usually available right outside the store.
The best description for Northlake's pizza is - WOW. It was so much more than we expected we had quite a bit of leftovers. The vegetarian is very, very tasty. We will be returning.
I know most people probably go to Finn MacCools to tip a few, and it is a nice place to get together for a brew and trivia. But they also serve a good breakfast. We discovered this looking for a soccer match and food - and Finn's fit the bill. The food was good and served with a fun attitude. There were only a few other souls sharing the space so there is great customer service.
We have been going to Yanni's for over 10 years, probably longer. It is a wonderful quiet restaurant with a varied menu. My favorite time to eat is late morning on the weekend. The food has always been good, my kids love the gyros, and there is a nice neighborhood feel for the ambiance.
Pinocchio's Toys has provided a place to find good toys for small children. You can go in without a specific gift in mind and come out with lots of ideas. It always makes me wish I were young enough again to play like a child (and sometimes I do). During certain times the parking can be tricky, but no harder than the nearby University Village.
