After we bought our house last year, we began looking for someone to re-do the landscaping. The prices were ridiculous, and no one offered anything other than a few verbal "ideas", no drawn/written plans. After 5 different "estimates", I decided to dig out new beds myself and plant my own trees and shrubs. Simon, and his fellow gardener, Mayolo, we starting a project for my next door neighbor. He came over while we were working to ask if our neighbors were home because they weren't answering the door. We started talking, and in 30 minutes, we struck a deal for a VERY reasonable to finish digging out new beds and plant everything we bought plus helped with the design. Also, our weekly gardener has failed, for the last 8 months to trim this tree off of our roof. Again, for a VERY reasonable price, Simon said he could do this too. The next day, when I got home from work, the ENTIRE front yard was landscaped and these 2 overgrown 25+ foot neglected trees were beautifully trimmed. Simon and his crew were efficient, hard-working and courteous. We fired out weekly gardener and have hired Simon. We saved so much money, we are going to build a deck and completely re-landscape the backyard. I have never in my life seen such honest, hard-working people. Thank you Simon and Mayolo!!!

I had gotten my hair cut once here, and it was fabulous. However, my husband went at the same time and got paired up with this male hairstylist who was...well, flamboyant to say the least. My husband is pretty straight-laced and conservative and clearly hesitant. He does have a receding hairline, but this "stylist" combed all of his hair forward and cut it straight across and plastered down a set of bangs ala Jim Carey in Dumb and Dumber (even though Mike has VERY curly hair). It looked so bad that he walked over to my chair to ask my opinion (my family owns a salon in another city, so I kinda have an idea about what I'm doing). I trimmed it up and restyled it and sent Mike back. The "stylist" put a few last minute touches on it, and then charged him full price after I RE-CUT his hair in the damn salon. I went back another time, and the haircut was from a different woman. After washing it the next day, I saw how uneven it was. I called and asked for a re-cut. I was told no. I called back and asked to speak to a manager. I was then told I could come back maybe next week during the day when it was slow and they had an opening. I am a physician, and I certainly was not going to cancel my patients or their surgeries to come get a hair cut. I explained this, so they put the owner on the phone. I went in the next day, and he did trim it up himself and made it more reasonable, but not great. No charge for the re-cut but no refund either. I would NEVER go back.
