I bought a large pool three years ago. They installation was great, the crew knew what they were doing. However, the second year, the filter cartridge started to seal so tightly I could get the top of the filter off to get to the cartridge to clean it. One of the clamps on the lock ring broke, and I thought that might prevent it from opening. The service dept. told me I couldn't buy a clamp or lock-ring, I'd have to buy the top part of the filter because they were one piece. They lied, charged me $285 for a top filter, forgot to give me the o-ring to seal it, and when I got it assembled I still had the same problem. I went back to the store where the exact same filter system was now on display, but not assembled yet. I saw clearly the lock-ring and top of the filter were separate. I could have gotten a clamp from Leslie's for $14.00. Later, I made a complaint to the manager, who told me there had been "problems" with the O-rings sealing too tightly. but he offered no solution or refund. I later went to Pool City and bought a sand filter and threw the other costly disaster away.
Also, now the outer walls of the pool have begun to rust. I'd never buy another pool from them!
