I went here to take both the driver's education class and behind the wheel driving with an instructor.
The classes were pretty cool and had a decent price. They gave us a bunch of practice questions that were worded just like the test, so it made me feel very prepared for the written test. The instructor was also very outgoing and lively, so class was never boring.
The behind the wheel driving was also pretty good there. The price for manual driving vs automatic driving was a bit more expensive, but well worth it. I liked how the trainer was nice enough to take you on the route the DMV takes you on when you take your test.
If you're looking for old school video game systems and games then this is the place to go. They're pretty much just like Gamestop, but they offer used and new games at lower prices. They also buy your used games for older systems at a higher price than what Gamestop would offer.
A great place to get some delicious donuts. They have a pretty good price for a dozen, and the lady there is always nice. It's a pretty small place, and there's always people there talking and having coffee. Definitely worth a look.
Fun mall with great variety of stores for everyone. I usually only come here for Panda Palace, which is a Chinese restaurant on the top floor of the mall. They sell these chocolate covered fortune cookies which are delicious, and I also love the lemon chicken.
I usually walk around the mall while we wait to be seated and visit the toy shop "Go! Toys and Games" that's pretty close by.
One thing though about this mall. It has multiple levels (~5), and if you don't know how to navigate going from one level to the other (not all elevators/stairs lead to all the levels) you could get lost.
This shopping mall has stores that are more high end. Lots of stores have opened and closed down here. It's never crowded and it's a good place if you want to walk around. The best part is this mall is pet friendly, so you could take your dog on a walk down the mall strip and window shop at the same time.
This is a small taco shop along Bonita rd, right next to Velocity Paintball. They almost never have space to sit and eat, so it's best to take the food to-go. The tacos here are very tasty, especially the fish tacos. I go here every now and then when I'm low on cash, and order the $1 fish tacos. Though they're small, they are jam packed with deliciousness and 5 fill me up very quickly.
This place is awesome. They don't serve pasta on a plate here, instead they serve inside a hollowed bread roll that acts as the garlic bread on the side. So it's practically a pasta sandwich that I eat it like a burrito. Forks are optional.
They have everything from fettuccine Alfredo (Fab Torpasta my favorite), to Spaghetti and meatballs. It's definitely a different way of eating pasta, and well worth the trip.
I also love that almost every Tuesday during the normal school year, they take part in the Farmer's Market up at UCSD, so it's close by and I have almost every time I go there.
One of the best burger joints in San Diego. The place itself is very small, but well worth a trip if you're craving a great, delicious burger. The prices aren't that expensive either, ~$8-10 for a full meal, including fries and a soda.
When the Lexus dealer of Kearney Mesa is out of the part that I need for my mom's Lexus, I come here as a second choice. It's a little further from home, but the parts department is still just as nice and helpful. Again, a little bit more pricey than Toyota for the same parts, but good nonetheless.
I've come here a couple of different times looking for parts for my mom's Lexus. The parts department is very well maintained and looks awesome. The staff is courteous and very helpful. But from my comparisons, the parts here the pretty much the same parts that you find at a Toyota dealer but a little more expensive since they have the "Lexus" brand on it. If you don't mind spending a little more on these parts, then this is the place for you.
