Where to start? I probably get 4 dozen bagels from here once a week... so I give them a lot of money. I don't know why I continue to go back because their staff is so rude and less than helpful at 8am. They handle the volume of customers well, but their attitudes are sour. I got a call one morning asking if "I forgot something" ... they did not say who they were or where they were calling from ... just if "I forgot something" ... I was running late for my pre-order bagel pickup. Painfully, I will still go here. But their staff needs a severe attitude check or to not hire non-morning people.
I hate to bash the most loved running store in ATL. But, I have to. I dread going in here and probably won't going forward. Yes, they may be experts... but they're experts with attitudes and zero customer service. Wait, let me back up... they're nice until they find out you're a 'beginner' and then they are rude. When I told them it was my 1st marathon, I was scoffed at and was then told by my sales rep that he has done 'double digit marathons' (good for you pal). I went in once for a 'run atl' shirt, the sales guy wouldn't even make eye contact and when I asked for them to order one he said they couldn't (I have a friend who got one ordered because they did not have her size) ... same happened when I went to sign up for the Peachtree Sizzler 10K. I shared my stories with some friends and they had similar experiences. They have 'hoity toity' attitudes and I plan to take my business elsewhere.
I am going to start this review by stating that I have not stayed here, I called... to book my stay but due to the attitude of the woman who answered my phone call I quickly chose not to. The phone was answered on the 6th ring (OK, they're busy, that's fine) but her annoyance of having to answer the phone caught me of guard. It's your job. Do it with a positive attitude. I called to 1st ask a simple question of if they did or did not provide transportation from the hotel to the race for the '10 Disney marathon. As she began to answer the question, her annoyance showed through again. And when I said 'thank you' she said 'your welcome and hung up' ... zero customer service and I did not book a 5 day long stay.
The guys who work here are 100% full of integrity and great business sense. Not only are they great at what they do (cleaning clothes, tailoring, fixing holes, etc...) but they are honest. They overcharged me once and told me I would get a credit. I was skeptical and pleasantly surprised when they reminded me of it a few weeks later. They also will not fix anything else (other found holes, etc...) without calling first. This place is top notch. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new dry cleaner!!
Crest cleaners is one of the more expensive dry cleaners in the area but their service is worth every penny. You can actually buy a 'save money' book from them that comes in handy. I have always bee 100% satisfied with my clothes when I pick them up, the staff is super courteous, and they take the time the get to know how you like your stuff cleaned and hung up! I love love love this place!
Catch is a small bar and it gets cramped and really hot but the drinks and bartenders are amazing. This place has a different feel than most of the bars in town, but that is because not everyone heads here. The crowd that does visit Catch is awesome and friendly. Don't forget to try one of their concoctions in the jugs.
I was referred to Dr. Peebles by my run coach for a marathon I am training for. She thought he was amazing and I could not agree more. Dr. Peebles knew what he was talking about and had a lot of suggestions on how to make the pain go down and avoid it in the future. He has great follow up. The office staff is very professional and courteous. I got an appointment very quickly too. I would highly recommend this place
This place is huge! This place is your normal sports bar/hang out, they have an extensive menu and I have never ordered something I have not liked. The staff is super friendly and willing to go out of the way for you. I highly recommend this place. It's awesome because at night they have cocktail servers so you do not even have to leave your game of pool. It gets super crowded on game weekends - but it is well worth fighting the crowds!
I love love love City Dog Market. I was told about this place from someone at the dog park and pulled in because it was on the way home. The staff is super nice. They have tubs where you can wash your dogs which is really convenient because the tubs do not allow your friend to hop out and run everywhere. They have a lot of stuff you won't find at the chains and I like how they bring in 'pros' for training!
I have nothing bad to say about Harry's. Yes, it is dirty and crowded... but you know that going into it. I always had a great time when I would go there and it was a staple in my college bar days! You cannot go to Harry's and not get a bucket!! I know it changed owners but it is still amazing. The only issue is that it is not on campus.
