Blue Iguana
I have only eaten here when they have the limited menu when the bar is hopping but everything I have ever had has been tasty. I mainly come here after hours for a night on the town and the bar staff is great. There is always a good turn out and the crowd is fun and friendly. The patio is great on summer nights. It can get loud, but the place is not the big.
Artie's
I am partial to this place because it is where my boyfriend and I ate on our 1st date and 1st anniversary. But sentiments aside, this place is GREAT. You get phenomenal service because the staff works as a team. They have great apps (we like the Spin Dip) and even better entrees. The salmon is one of my favorites. It is a bit pricey but well worth it! I advise calling ahead because they do get busy, but they have a big bar so you can grab a drink while you wait. The parking lot is hectic and crazy so plan ahead. Overall this place is awesome.
Brion's Grille
The food is nothing to write home about, the staff is normally pretty busy, but even when there is not a crowd the service is not that great. I would say this place is average at best. I have only been there once if that says anything.
Shout
I went here with my coworker for the first time recently and it was a pleasant surprise. I am a big fan of the sister restaurant 'twist', but I think 'Shout' was a lot better. We went in for a late lunch so it was very quiet, but we got great service. I have not been for dinner or for a night out... but it seems like it would be a fun place. Very modern and I imagine it would attract a fun, young professional crowd.
Adrenaline Fitness Chamblee
I tried this place out with their free trial and I ended up not joining. This place really was not for me. The 1st time I visited the front staff was not very welcoming and seemed to 'look down on me' because I has a free trial membership. They have a good amount of cardio equipment, but it is kind of close together. They have a lot of space, but a lot of equipment. It was fairly crowded and I felt like people were watching me work out which made me fairly uncomfortable. Parking is a total nightmare, the lot is insanely small and is an accident waiting to happen. You have to park down the street a lot, but that's not a big deal... after all why not walk... you're going to work out. They have recently added a tanning salon which is convienant. This place wasn't bad... just not for me.
Ginger's Corner Gift Shoppe
The trunk has some awesome stuff and they will/can customize anything you would like. The only downfall is that this little shop can be quite pricey. It's a mecca of Greek merchandise and has cute trinkets. They have some really cute stuff for children. I don't shop here frequently, but when I do I never leave empty handed.
Atlanta Lenox Taxi Co INC
I will start by saying... call someone else. Their drivers are crazy and out of control. My boyfriend and I needed a ride back to our car after a long night at the bars -- after calling many cab companies who said "we were too far away" we called this cab company because their website said they took credit cards. Once we booked the taxi a woman kept calling to say we're on our way or come outside... she was basically ordering us around. We get in the taxi and I really thought the driver was going to get us in an accident his driving was so erratic. He was probably going about 70 mph down Peachtree, changing lanes without signaling, and slamming on the breaks. Yeah.. Atlanta has some aggressive driving, but this was merely TERRIFYING! On top of his crazy driving he had his music so loud and all the windows down.Once we get to our cars I pull out my credit card to pay (the website and dispatcher said they took credit cards) and the driver starts yelling at me saying he does not accept credit cards. Both my boyfriend and I were like "but the website" and he kept cutting us off saying "do you not understand my french I don't take credit cards, I don't carry the slips". He then whips the cab out of the parking lot (nearly hitting a car) to drive us to the ATM - screaming at us the WHOLE TIME about not having cash. My boyfriend and I just sat in the back seat wondering what in the world was going on.He was by far the rudest individual I have interacted with, I just gave him the $20 for a $10 cab ride and told him to keep the change because I did not want to deal with him... even though I feel he did not warrant a tip of any sort. DO NOT CALL THEM FOR A RIDE!Pros: got to our apt. quick. Cons: loud music in cab, rude driver, erratic driving, misadvertisement, does not take credit cards,
Atlanta Cupcake Factory
I have only been here once and even though it is rated as a top cupcake place in Atlanta I only somewhat agree. To rate the cupcakes... they're a 7. The cake is moist, so moist. The icing has a "gel" feel to it which I did not like. They have a lot more "flavors" than most cupcake places, but who really wants to get more than 1 cupcake at once. I like how they sell day old cupcakes in a 6 pack though. If it was not for the "gelly" icing this would be a favorite spot for me. Parking is sparse, but that is normal for this area. It is fairly easy to find if you know the area..
San Vito Ristorante Italiano
My parents introduced me to this place and I loved it the first time... but each time my boyfriend and I went back the service got worse and worse. It seems like they give the wait staff more tables than they can really handle. They have rather large portions, or maybe I just have a small stomach. The bread and pesto dipping sauce is GREAT! I really like their vodka sauce. My boyfriend thought their food was 'average' at best. I tend to get the same thing and I like it.
Milano's Famly Restaurant
This place can get fairly crowded and for good reason. The food is consistently good. The service is nothing to complain about. They handle rush crowds well and it is never too noisy like a lot of places can be. This place is HUGE so their is ample seating for small groups or large groups. I think this place is family owned, because the staff seems like a tight knit group.
