Just like the other KB Books, they have their textbooks at discounted prices. I like this particular location because it's bigger and they also sell SDSU apparel. I never try to park right in front because it's too cramped and claustrophobic.
Love Culture
It's like another Forever21 and Charlotte Russe except somehow more appealing. The prices are about the same, if not cheaper than the previous said stores and I tend to like their designs better too. Their casual clothing is cute and their more formal outfits are even better. I like the overall general design of the actual store too.
Yardage Town
Yardage Town has everything a seamstress needs! The place is huge with so much variety in materials, supplies, designs, and kit/instruction packets. Sometimes I worry for the employees because every time I came they were older ladies that are look like grandma-age. Nevertheless, great place to go especially if there's sales/special deals going on.
Paradise Valley Produce Market
It's a small place, but I love it because it's right by my house. It's another one of those quick-stop places with the groceries and snacks. Whenever my mom needs a random vegetable for her cooking, I always use that chance to load up on snacks for myself. Very friendly staff, too!
T Shirts Usa
Oh, childhood. This store reminds me of dance crews and middle school and high school clubs. They mostly sell plain, solid-color tees and other generic things, very useful for customization. The usual deal is the "5 for 10" as it's known for so it comes at a nice price.
Ico Balloons
This is a great place to get your party supplies (& rentals, although I haven't done that one yet). I always love coming in here to see what you can get and to look at all the little things you can use for party favors. Their corsage/boutonniere's are beautiful, too. You just have to remember to order them in advance and not do it last minute!
Harper's Music
It's alright. I stopped in here once when I was in the area to check it out and see if I could bring home anything interesting. Geared mostly towards guitarists, I was looking for Piano and/or Strings (Violin/Viola) paraphernalia and didn't find much. I do remember that they had a pretty sweet rent-to-own for instruments.
Islander Grill
I ONLY go here for their red rice & chicken kelaguen bowl. I found this place about 6 years ago and I've been a loyal customer ever since. Whoever hasn't had kelaguen must come here! I think I've probably taken at least 7 different people here all on different occasions. The employees are super friendly, too. A great find, indeed.
Da Kine's Plate Lunches National City
I absolutely loved Da Kine's when it opened. It was like a delicacy to have spam musubis when I was a kid. I loved the decor and how involved they were with the community. I always picked Da Kine's over L&L's ANY day.
KB Books
Great spot to get discounted textbooks for students who attend Mesa College. They renovated in recent years and it looks a lot nicer than before. They're well organized and employees are always looking to help someone. The parking in this shopping plaza can get pretty crazy. They usually have people controlling the traffic to get in and out when school season starts up!
