Fiesta Pet Shop
This place has basic stuff for first time pet owners whether it's for fish, puppies, kitties, and birds. They've been here for a long while so I'm very sure you won't be disappointed. I used to get pet supplies here and I still enjoy stopping in once in a while to see what they have.
Family Loompya Seafood
This is in the same shopping plaza as the Valerio's Bakery and Tita's Kitchenette. With that said, parking is horrible (although there's an extra section by their actual building) but this place has the best tasting Fried Tilapia. Buy the fish & get it fried for free! My mom actually prefers coming here over Seafood City.
Seafood City Supermarkets
This place is pretty much like THE Filipino supermarket. They have a wide variety, very neat and organized, & have a restaurant inside serving authentic Filipino food and drinks. It sounds silly, wanting to eat after grocery shopping, but it has come in handy at times.
King's Liquor
I used to come here all the time when I was a kid. Cigars for my grandma, candy for us kids. The employees here are efficient and it's great for a quick stop/pickup if you don't want to go into Ralph's right next door. ..Except, I'd never go there alone at night.
Valerio's City Bakery
A treasure of National City! I believe they have the best pan de sal in San Diego and I tend to visit bakeries as much as I can in other cities. The only downside to this place is the horrible parking lot right smack in one of the busiest streets.
Elvie's Boutique
This is a small shop FULL of clothes, blankets, purses, toys, etc. It's kind of like it's own tiny little market. They're also a travel agency sorta thing, so ditto on the passport pictures.
