I hit this shop up for my sister, expecting her first.
I didn't see any toys - this place is packed with clothes though. The best part, maternity clothes for a steal. I got my sister almost an entire wardrobe for what she spent on two pairs of maternity pants at a chain. Selection is rather limited- not surprised though.
I did get lucky and hit the clearance sales for the winter/spring changeover to summer clothes. Much of what I found were in the $1 range.
For kids clothing, there is a great selection. I could have spent hours being very choosy.
My husband and I dropped in around 8pm on a Monday. The smells were heavenly and pulled us in the door.
Unfortunately the ribs were not available due to them running out and they refused to sacrifice anything in their cooking to speed up the process.
We had the pulled bbq and split a pitcher. What we got was excellent. I can't wait to go back and actually try the ribs. And hopefully for a live band.
I am a huge fan of Dr. Aitcheson. She is a caring, attentive and involved physician.
I see her for rheumatology but am tempted to see her for general medicine as well. Her office is in a good sized building and parking is not a problem (but does require a fee). Getting the initial appointment proved a wait - not surprising for a specialist. However follow up appointments have been easily organized.
She has x-ray and a draw station on site so no wandering about when additional tests are needed.
Billing can be a bit of a problem- apparently there are different codes for the specialty so watch your EOB to make sure the claim is processed right. However the office was extremely helpful through 3 errors- of my own insurance company's fault. Francis was patient and worked with me to get the mistakes cleared up!
This is a great bar - there are two levels. Downstairs is a bit better lit and has room for darts.
Upstairs is a cozy feel with booths and the bar. We would gather on pint night (Mondays) and eat the best cheese fries I have ever found. Burgers are good too!
This is a place to get a group and hang out.
Dr. Diaz was recommended by two different people from my work.
He is a knowledgeable professional who also is fluent in Spanish. His office takes the majority of insurances which is also helpful.
I have found it a bit challenging to get appointments. I had to schedule my physical 4 months in advance. I also could not be worked in when I have been sick. Finally, he gets rather long winded when describing things. Keeping stuff simple would be appreciated.
My husband and I headed to Cafe Bombay for an evening out. First, the place was busy and small. The crowd looked to be the type to know good Indian and they were right.
Cafe Bombay has a lovely dinner set that included rice pudding for dessert. Price was good. The food was excellent and the service was top of the line. I do warn, they don't necessarily trust a "gringo' when she says she wants it hot but they were willing to bring me extra spices when I found the level a bit too low for my taste.
Definitely a pleasant night out but expect a wait to be seated on a weekend night.
I walked over here on a random Saturday afternoon. I came a bit after the lunch crowd so seating was not a problem.
I had a gyro- something I have been craving. This location had excellent service. The food is good but not something I would go out of my way to have again. Worth a stop if in the area but don't make a special trip.
The restaurant is located in a shopping center but parking can still be a bit of a challenge. However the food is very good and the service pleasant.
I used it for take out- order was exactly right. I do recommend calling ahead to save time.
Clyde Cooper's catered my wedding and it was a blast. The food was excellent and the price allowed me to invite my entire guest list.
We picked this joint because we had several personal recommendations from just about everyone we knew in the area. The word of mouth definitely had it right as we got exactly what we were looking for with a southern BBQ reception.
Only down side- the driver called about 5 mins before the ceremony trying to get directions. A bit stressful for my groom.
I went to this lovely B&B for my honeymoon. Vista, the owner was so welcoming and inviting. It had the feeling of being a desired guest in a personal home- which to some extent it is.
She asked us what kind of involvement from her we were looking for and gave us great tips on sights and restaurants. There is only one room in her B&B so there is no risk of being disturbed by other guests or even Vista (very important for a honeymoon!). However if you just want to lounge and visit, Vista is a pleasure to chat with! It was almost hard leaving to go see the sites b/c we were having such great conversations.
The bedroom is on the second floor of a historic home - not handicap accessible so be warned if one cannot do stairs. However the room opens onto a beautiful veranda and we loved sitting in the evening with a glass of wine.
Breakfast was officially "light" but truly I was full after the enormous fruit bowl she created and had in the fridge for us to enjoy at our leisure. She was agreeable to letting me store my coveted soft drinks in the fridge too!
Off street and included parking! We didn't move our car at all b/c the location is close to all of the historic Charleston sights. Great place, we will be back! Check out more about this B&B on the website listed.
