Aaron Brothers Art & Framing
When I need a frame fast or to replace a mat, Aaron Brothers has reasonable prices and a good selection of premade frames. At Christmas time they are a good place to browse to get a suggestion for the one person you just cannot figure out.
Facere Jewelry Art Gallery
Tiny but quality. This small store tucked into City Center has a surprising collection of really fine pieces. It is one of those places I stop by frequently just to see what they have and often I just have to pick up something new.
SAM Gallery
If you haven??t seen Hammering Man ?? you haven??t seen the best collection of art in the City. Loved by all of us, SAM continues to demonstrate that Seattle is a major player in the US cultural scene. While its collections are not always deep they cover a vast number of artists in many areas.
William Traver Gallery
When I pick up the Art Walk guide each month, I turn first to William Traver. Seattle and the Northwest in general are know for glass art. William Traver is one of the best representatives of that art form.
Northwest Tribal Art
Not just tourist trinkets. This gallery has some of the Northwest??s finest native artists represented. It is impossible to see it all in one visit. More like a museum, it is fun to browse. They represent traditional as well as contemporary artists.
Watson Security Group
We live downtown in a Condo. It is not uncommon for someone in our building to lock themselves out. Nyberg has always come to our rescue. They are fast efficient and have a wide variety of supplies for locks. Highly recommendable
Thomas Kinkade Westlake
I??ve never understood the ??painter of light?? fame. They are ??pretty?? pictures ?? but not outstanding and not worth the price. There are a lot of people that paint pretty.
Lisa Harris Gallery
Unfortunately I think a lot of people miss this gallery because it is upstairs in the middle of the Market. You should take the effort to go up the stairs. It is not stuffy or unfriendly. They exhibit a broad range of artists.
Ballard Market
Even after I moved out of the neighborhood to downtown ?? I still go back there often. The selections are really good, the prices as reasonable as anyone and they typically know how to manage the checkout lines so you do not have a long wait. But best is that it has selection WITHOUT being so big it takes forever to get up and down the isles.
Portalis Wine Shop and Wine Bar
I found this place by recommendation from 3 different people at work and am glad I found it. The wines are reasonable ?? but what I really like is that they always have great suggestions for something new and a little different. They respect your price range and just are really friendly.
