Midwifery & Women's Health
When I had my 2nd child I used the services of Elizabeth Seton Prenatal Clinic and was very happy with the level of services. The midwives were kind, gentle and compassionate and did everything they could to fight for me to have a successful vbac. I rarely had to wait for a prenatal appointment yet they took the time to answer all my questions and address all my and my husbands concerns while including our older child in the process.
I am sad that in the future unless I schedule a repeat c/s that I will not be able to use them for my prenatal care as I don't really want to go back to the sit around and wait five minutes with the nurse, five minutes with the Dr and we don't have time to answer you questions with obstetrical prenatal care. Unfortunately the back up Drs will not allow the midwives to see women who have had more than one cesarean.
I only wished that I had used them for my first pregnancy and would highly recommend if your a first time expectant mom looking for a provider to talk to the midwives at Elizabeth Seton Prenatal Clinic. Don't worry if there is a situation that they can not handle they will always make a referral to one of the back up OBs.

Easily accessible for I-90 off the King Ave interchange Fisher Water Service provides both delivery and self fill of water for those on a cistern as opposed to city water services or a well. Prices are reasonable at 25 cents for 50 gallons-it only takes a dollar to fill a small 200 gallon tank which is easily hauled in the back of a half ton short box pickup. If you don't want to haul your own they also deliver. Yes I would recommend Fishers Water Service for those who haul their own water just make sure that you have your quarters with you as there is no change machine and the water dispenser machine only takes quarters and no other combination of coins. At times there may be a wait to get your water use this as a time to visit with your friends and neighbors or at least say a friendly hello.

As a parent of a child with very sensitive skin I have had to go to using cloth diapers which require using special detergents in order to not ruin the diapers. I am able to purchase laundry detergent and other non toxic cleaners that I feel comfortable using around my children as well as myself with our chemical allergies. Good Earth market is a great place to purchase organic spices in bulk so you only purchase the amount that you need. Have a recipe that calls for a spice that you only use in that recipe and only make 2-3 times a year at the most instead of tossing the extra spice by buying a full bottle else where you can get it at Good Earth Market yet if you have a spice that you use in just about everything and are tired of buying a new bottle all the time you can also get it at Good Earth Market. To get the spices home you can either use the plastic bags they provide or bring your own container from home-just ask them to weigh your container before you fill it. While you don't have to be a member to shop at Good Earth Market if you are a member which costs less than $1 a month you get some great deals including a discount once a month price varies depending if you volunteer or not and if your a senior citizen or not along with members only specials. They sell all sorts of organic and other health food products, natural cleaners, 7th generation diapers and wipes, tushies diapers and wipes, gdiaper starter kits and flushable liner refill packs, and a great assortment of hylands products besides the teething tablets including for allergies and headaches. They also have a deli and dining area if you want to grab a bite to eat. Come with an open mind and try something new you might just find a few surprises.
123 Fit
123 Fit offers a fantastic fun 30 minute workout that uses a circuit system of alternating cardio and strength training. Most of the time when I work out Shannon the owner is there and she gives the patrons working out a choice of what music we want to work out to and will even put in a compact disk the someone brings in or tune into a talk radio show if that is what you want.
The Tanta Scale that 123 Fit uses for their customers shows not only weight but body fat, muscle mass, and hydration as well as several other measurements. It has helped me psychologically on the weeks that I have been working out and dieting and still don't see the weight loss results to be able to see that while I didn't loose any weight I gained muscle and loss some fat. Shannon and her husband Jeff have come up with some great programs including what they call the Fit Teen Program where youth ages 12-17 can work out all summer long for free and for a low cost during the school year. I found their prices reasonable and I would very much recommend them. The only tip I would give other customers is stop in take a tour and take advantage of their one week free (3 visits-but you don't actually have to do them in a week) and their 30 day comfort guarantee what do you have to loose other than maybe a few pounds and gaining some fitness in a comfortable non threatening environment and this is coming from someone who hates to workout and was a klutz in gym class.
Stellas Kitchen & Bakery
Excellent Food served with great service. The kids get a coloring book and a full basket of crayons to use to keep themselves occupied while waiting for their meals. My 4 year old was excited about getting a teddy bear pancake for her meal (it also comes in a dino) and when she saw that she had fruit as part of her meal well that was just icing on the cake. I ordered orange juice as part of my meal and was given the choice of concentrated or fresh squeezed-I don't know of any other place other than at home where I can get fresh squeezed orange juice. The monster cakes are just that monsters taking up the entire plate. They are a great deal for your money we were able to feed a family of 4 including tip and purchase some baked goods to take home for under 50 dollars. I would very much recommend eating at Stella's Kitchen and Bakery. The biggest tip that I would recommend to other customers is if you have small children bring something to keep them occupied while you wait for a seat as we went late morning during the week and still had about a 10 minute wait, and finally be sure and be hungry when you get there especially if ordering a monster cake.
