It is fun to walk and shop around this area, but do the prices have to be so touristy? It's what keeps me from considering it for gifts.
Homewood Suites by Hilton Austin-South/Airport
Not a great location because there wasn't much near it. BUT the rooms were suites (real ones.) We came in early one night and stayed for dinner which was a very nice surprise.
Taqueria Mi Cielito
This Taqueria has very good food. I went there for lunch and it was really good. I had the cheese enchiladas and they were very good.
Floyd's Cajun Seafood House
I went here for lunch and had the fried shrimp. The flavor was good and the portion size was right on. Good service.
Taqueria Quintero
Great Mexican food. Taqueria quintero is on our list to visit again. We liked the quesadilla and fajitas.
Ogarrio Mexican Restaurant
We found this place to be average. The food was blase and not memorable. The service was good and the restaurant was clean.
Bullritos
If you like burritos then this is the place to go. They will build any burrito you want and they are great.
Botello Zapata Painting
Jose Botello is the owner and main man in this business. He does a great job and cleans up after he is finished.
Acapulco Mexican Grill
Acapulco is a fun place to have dinner. The food is good (we like the enchiladas and fajitas. The service is good too.

John from Gulf Coast is always able to solve our sprinkler problems. He does the job right the first time and does the job himself.
