Good little joint. Nothing to write home about but the pleasant personalities make up for alot of the short comings.
Drove all the way from North County to check this place out and was not disappointed. Service was helpfull and polite and the selection was great. Take the time to come in and see for yourself
After being renovated the new Seafood Island is an awesome experiance. The menu is vast and tasty, but some of the wait-staff are moody at times but it doesn't retract from your dining experiance.
So hard to get seen and although their website boasts knowledge of Pacific Islander Art, I found out that it is more of you bring it they stick it. I am not shorting them on their talent, there is a lot of it there, but it's just not what I was looking for.
As supply houses go this is a good one. They hold anything a beginning or professional artist would need, and if they don't have it they can get it at reasonable prices.
The Love Boat Sushi chain in Southern California is TOPS. I've been to thousands of Sushi joints in the U.S. and this is the closest I've been, to Japanese flavor which is why this is my personnal favorite Sushi Restaurant. The quality and size of the Sushi/Shashimi cuts are out of this world compared to other places. The staff make it a point for you to enjoy yourselves whether you are eating alone or in a large group. If you get the chance try the Fish Cake and the Salmon Kama... Also it is the only place I have found that serves up 'Fresh Wasabi' which steps things up to a whole other level.
Yum... Food was excellent and the portions are enormously satisfying, coupled with professional service. Prices are a little steep but that is the trade off for the quality.
Pretty good for a "cookie cutter" food chain. Portions are sufficient, and the price is nice, but nothing really stands out for a ??Must have.?
