I took my car in to get serviced at Hajek Chevrolet (otherwise know as Hi-Jack). I was hearing a growling/grinding sound under or in the steering. They checked it out and said that I needed a new control arm and bushing on my front left wheel because the bushing was wearing out and light was shining through. ($500 for this job) They also said I needed a new baring and hub assembly because my wheel was "loose." ($478 for this job)
Thankfully, before I had them do the work, I took it to local mechanic that won my trust right away. They put my car up on the rack for free to check out what Hajek was saying. (They had a hard time believing that with only 46,000 miles on the car, all of those things "were going out." This mechanic, Stonum Automotive, brought me back to the car while it was on the rack and proved to me that the car needed NONE of this work that Hajek said I needed. There was NO light showing through in the bushing, the control arm was in great shape, and the wheel was as tight as could be!!! Stonum saved me $1,000 in unnecessary work.
BEFORE YOU GET WORK DONE AT HAJEK CHEVROLET, MAKE SURE TO GET A SECOND OPINION!!!
