Mac Intosh Doctor
Reasonable, very competent Macintosh computer repair. These guys really know Macs, unlike the many shops that just declare they do. After false starts elsewhere, I've arrived at Mac Doctor for my repair needs and inevitably go back. Their quoted prices are the lowest credible prices I've been offered for a variety of repairs.
My single caution is that there is a tendency to offer services which range perhaps beyond what is required to restore your system to full capability.

Knowledgeable, reasonable, reliable. Happy Pest Control knows its business and performs it in a most professional manner. Family owned and operated. You see the owner every time the truck rolls up. Happy Pest Control rid us of the bugs and spiders that always invaded our house. We've had a great result and really trust the quality of service.
Doors Etc
After lots of shopping I was sold on Doors Etc after speaking with the rep from Doors Etc. They carry all the major brands at very competitive prices, but they also do the installation work themselves, unlike the box stores. The install crew came out and that made all the difference. The install crew worked fast and clean. They did a first class job, they were extra helpful, going well out of their way to ensure a great installation. Most highly recommended.
Hi-tech Termite Control Inc.
We did a very thorough search amongst termite control companies before we hired Hi tech termite. They did a great job eradicating our dry wood and subterranean termites without tenting or wood damaging heat guns. They used a combination of Termidor injections and Premise 2 perimeter barriers to completely wipe out the colonies.
I do not, however, recommend Hi Tech Termite for wood repair, since their quoted prices are much higher than those we had quoted separately.
Sauced Pizzaria & Bistro
This is the place for great pizza and sandwiches without the crowds and high prices of Old Town. Everything I've had there has been great, but the item I really rave about are the Philly Cheese steaks. These are the only cheese steaks I've had outside of Philly that capture the juicy flavor of the original. This place in unsung, and it shouldn't be.
Kelly's Pub
A nice little hang out off the beaten path in Old Town. A great place for a Guinness and the locals are friendly. Pretty eclectic crowd, but you won't be inclined to stay a stranger for long. One of a few good neighborhood bars in San Diego.
Hi Ball
Sailors and Asian barmaids. Sort of a hustle, but no one hangs out there without being aware that the charm of the place is in the nostalgia for days gone by for South Bay as a hangout for sailors and their erstwhile girlfriends. Have a designated driver. The Chula Vista cops love to troll for DUI clients on "E" street. There's a donut shop right on the corner, so no surprise there.
Scoreboard Ii
Probably the only true neighborhood sports bar South of the 8 Freeway. Great food, reasonably priced. Good beer selection. It just isn't Hooters, so don't go for the view. There are no ferns and no one wears a push up bra. It's a neighborhood place in the style that Easterners and Midwesterners understand. The guys watching the game do know more about sports than you do. Accept it and enjoy the burgers.

I go here if I feel like good filipino movies. I also buy some good filipino snacks and chief kids clothing. The owner tells you to about what is new in their products from the Philippines.
Blue Haven
This club is good only if you and your partner to listen some band and dance a little bit, but to hang out for long time I will not recommend it.
