We went to Bonnaroo 2010, and on our way one of our cars broke down in Nashville. We towed it to a friend's house, and he took it to Hillsboro Village Shell & Auto. Most of our party are engineers from an automotive school, and we knew that the issue was the fuel pump, which is about a 2-3 hour job depending on how long it takes to drop the fuel tank. Parts for the job would've cost ~$130, and at a liberal labor rate of $100, we expected to pay between $300-400. The estimate that Hillsboro Village Shell & Auto gave us was $800. Any way you cut it, this shop was screwing us over. Probably because we had out-of-state plates and we were in a pickle. They say that the true judge of character is how well you treat strangers. Hillsboro Village Shell & Auto is a complete failure in that respect.??
