The doctor does not have a receptionist because he probably does not want to lose a dollar of his money. I have always felt rushed as well and one time I even complained about it. He asked me to come back in and this time he spoke to me very slowly like a child, and condescendingly like an arrogant snob. He tried desperately to get me to use a more expensive type of contacts and I was embarrassed to admit I couldn't afford them, but insisted no. He got his revenge, though. When I tried to order contacts online, he gave them a RX for the more expensive ones. The rep from the online company actually went out of her way to call me to let me know how rude my doctor was on the phone.
