I live in Colleyville, and seven neighbors on my street alone have had work performed by Lanham. My husband and I decided to have our windows replaced due to the glass being hard to see out of, and several windows would not even open. I had three different companies come out to give us proposals. The last was Lanham. I am a stay at home Mom, and I am very conscience on checking out a company before committing. I first checked the Better Business Bureau, followed by Angies List where we are a member as well. Lanham scored extremely high with both. Then in my search I find Insider Pages where I see this negative review posted by J.R. With concern I talked to all but one of my neighbors who had worked performed by this company. All six of my neighbors raved and gave extremely satisfied reviews. The day the representative (Todd) came out to see me, I was a little more than shocked. He made time to get out the same day I spoke with him, and unlike the other two companies did not require my husband to be home. The first two questions he asked surprised me. He asked how long we anticipated being in our home, and the largest electric bill we ever had? No one else asked either question. We plan to be here two or three more years, and our highest bill was last July at $298.00. He then told me there is no reason to replace our windows. He actually said, ??It would be a waste of money?. He explained that to see a return on your investment, you need to be in a home the size of ours at least six to seven years. He followed by telling me that he could repair our windows that would not open, and replace the foggy glass at a fraction of the cost of replacing the windows. After all was said and done, his price was over $11,000.00 less than having our windows replaced by the lower bid of the other two companies. He went on to explain that by selling in just a few years, we would never recoup the money spent on replacement windows verses repairs. The other companies were told who else was coming out to give us proposals, the previous two companies both had negative things to say about the other. Never once did Todd have anything negative to say. When asked about the negative review, he knew exactly to what I was referring. His comment was, ??I have been with Mr. Lanham six years, and dishonest would be the last word in my vocabulary to define him or his entire family?. Once again, never one negative word was used to explain the customers comment. Sounds like J.R.??s initials should be changed to J.A. for Jack A**. Great company. More than honest and fair in our book, as well as our neighbors.
