Top Hat Car Wash

I spend a lot of time between Las Vegas and West Palm Beach. I wish I could find a car wash this good in Las Vegas! The staff was extremely friendly and my car looked immaculate, both inside and out. I would never take my car anywhere else when I am in Florida.

Girls of Glitter Gulch

We went in the other night and had a great time. The cover charge was a fair price and included our first two drinks, which were nice and strong. The girls were very friendly and were not pushy about dances. I turned a dancer down for a VIP dance and she still stayed and carried on a conversation with me. It is a good oasis to take a break from everything going on with Fremont Street.

Definitely a place I will return to have a good time.

702 Traffic

I was new to Las Vegas and got a ticket for a wrongful turn. I saw the adds for 702 TRAFFIC and took my ticket to them. I was told this was a law office of Adam M Vander Heyden. I was told that if I paid $50 that my ticket would be reduced to illegal parking and the fine would be $125 - $150. Since the original fine was about $300, it sounded like a good deal. I paid my money and was told they would contact me and let me know how much to pay and when and where to pay it. He said it would be late Spring before it would be due ( I remember specifically because I told them I may be out of town for summer work up north). I gave them my number and address and left. In July, I had not heard from them and called the office. They said they had spoke with me in March on the phone (I never received a call from them) and there was now a warrant for my arrest. They said they would get it taken care of and send me the paperwork to pay my fine. I had not heard anything or received anything from them by November. I went in to speak to them and was told I was assessed a $250 fine for failure to pay and I now owe $505. I asked to speak to someone in charge and the receptionist went into an office and returned with an attitude and told me no one was there to speak to me. I was told there nothing that could be done except pay the new fine ( I was fined initially $255, instead of the $125-$150 I was told). I asked her to check my record and mysteriously the files were removed at the end of 2010. She said someone would call me at the end of the day, which never happened. I received a phone called from a woman who proceeded to tell me that she was a supervisor and she looked at my file and said they called and left a message for me. This NEVER happened. I was told that my file said do not mail but when I spoke to them in July, they asked for my address to mail me my papers.When The lady said that I was rude and yell at the receptionist in a loud enough voice she could hear me over her music. I was told no one was there to speak to but now there seems to have been a supervisor that WAS there but could not be bothered to come out because she was on lunch at 4pm. The receptionist told me my files were no longer available but suddenly today the supervisor had them at hand. If I was so out of control and swearing so loudly, why would the supervisor not come out to see what the issues were.

Bikram Yogi Summerlin

As my wife stated, we have been to every Bikram studio in town and now call BYS home. We LOVE all of the instructors and they have all been incredibly helpful to me. I have had many knee surgeries and have my L3, 4, and 5 fused in my back, so I have some special considerations. They have all been great at helping me work around and through my injuries and have helped me to start healing and start progressing in my practice. The family atmosphere here is unlike any other.

Springbok Bar & Grill

Having lived in Johannesburg for a good part of my life, I have really missed the South African way of life and food. Finding the Springbok Bar and Grill was like finding home. The boerwors was fabulous and there is nothing in the world like boerwors. They had biltong that most Americans unjustly compare to beef jerkey. but biltong is so much better. I wished there were some traditional South African desserts but I will make it a point to go back any time I am in LA. The owner, Robin, really made my wife and I homesick with his hospitality as South Africans always have a way of making you feel like you belong and are at home. I am looking forward to going back and hope it is when there is a rugby game because I can't imagine a better to place to watch a game.

Cloud Nine Day Spa Inc

My wife took me to Cloud 9 for our anniversary. I had never had a facial or pedicure, so I was interested to try both, as well as get a massage. I started with the massage and it was so relaxing that I fell asleep on the massage table. The facial was definitely more relaxing than I had anticipated and I can see why it is that women get them so often; my skin felt so refreshed afterwards! I was the most excited about the pedicure because I have a lot of cracks in my feet that are impossible to get rid of, no matter how many products I try. They were able to get my feet almost completely smooth and I booked another pedicure for two weeks from now.

Afterword Marketing

As an indie author, I look to the advice of other emerging authors who have gone out on a limb and made a success out of their dream. I contacted one of my favorite indie authors through Twitter and asked them how they would go about getting sales and generating publicity for a new book after seeing their success as a new and unknown author. They directed me to Todd Rutherford at Afterword Marketing... after working with Todd, I have to say that he really knows his field, has innumerable resources, and does a stellar and timely job. I would recommend Afterword Marketing to anyone!

Xclusive Ultra Lounge

I enjoy going to Xclusive for a lot of reasons; even though they might specialize in "exclusive" VIP experiences, the part that I really love about it is that it is a nightlife home for Las Vegas locals. Even though it is busy, the line is always manageable and the service is always friendly, making it a refreshing change from The Strip. For the most part, locals have to pick between the hectic and often rude clubs on The Strip or local gaming pubs, without much in the middle. Xclusive is perfect for going to relax, but still seeing people looking their best and there to party and dance, rather than silently drink at a slot machine. The theme parties like the "All White Party" are the best, but they always have something fun going on. Fridays and Saturdays have the best party atmosphere--and their Sunday industry nights have recently gotten to be a big hit with locals, but you can still go and have a good time on the weeknights with karaoke night and other themes.
