Knights Inn

After checking the rates at a corporate place some blocks over, we figured that we would go ahead and reserve a room at the Knight's Inn as it was $75 less expensive, and we were only going to be there one night, how bad could it be? We were pleasantly surprised to find not just an affordable place, but perhaps the best hotel on our entire vacation!

I am a big advocate of trying to keep the "little man" in business over the big corporations, and this hotel is exactly why I feel that way. It is easy to get lost in the shuffle at a big hotel, but a place like the Knight's Inn keeps you feeling like America is still a pretty good place to be.

P.S. We have two small boys (7 & 9) and the inclusion of a separate bedroom in the hotel room was a HUGE bonus!

She doesn't just blow in and say "this is how it has to be;" rather, she listened to our ideas and offered suggestions to enhance and polish them. Even when we felt like we were going out of our comfort zone, she was so enthusiastic and confident in her choices that we were willing to try -- and the results were amazing and kept us invested and excited to do more. We actually felt like we were learning about design and broadening our aesthetic throughout the process -- of course, it helps that Madeline is an encyclopedia of important moments in fashion and design. But most importantly, she gave our home the upgrade we were hoping for, and made what we assumed would be a tedious process something completely fun and exciting.
