WHITE The Art of Hair
We found this salon early in 2006 and were impressed with the quality of hair care and service. I was looking for an upscale salon for myself and bridal party for my October 2006 wedding. After talking with the owner and being won over by her claim to attention to detail and service for the bridal party on the wedding day we quickly booked them, specifically for a certain hair stylist. A few months later when my sister was in for a hair cut we were casually informed that our specific hair stylist was on a leave of absence and they had no specific date for her return. They assured us that their new stylist was excellent - but the hair cut and service from her turned out not be up to par of the other. In addition, my mother did not like her hair cut from the same girl and when she talked to the salon about it the owner told my mother it was her own fault for not allowing the stylist to do what she thought was best. Long story short, when I expressed concern about not having the stylist we had originally booked our appointment with and asked for my deposit back the owner suddenly turned not so friendly. In the end I stayed with this salon because it wasn't worth the fight. We didn't have the salon to ourselves the morning of the wedding as originally promised, the drinks, refreshments and relaxing music that were part of their wedding party pampering were not provided and the previous interactions with the salon added tension to the whole experience - the exact opposite of how a bride wants to start out her wedding day. We had to have a friend re-do two of the hair styles because they were not satisfactory and we felt we couldn't "express" our dissatisfaction due to the tension. If you are looking to have a long term relationship with friendly service and fulfilled promises choose another salon. They are full of promises and service to pull you in but it doesn't last if you have any disagreement with them.
