I make a point to go to NM every year to buy a special tree ornament for each of my kids at the holidays. I usually also buy a special gift for birthdays, etc there too, because they have a great selection and lots to choose from. The sales staff is very friendly and helpful. If you are shopping for clothes, come with a big budget in mind, because you will be getting the best there is but it comes with a price.

My sister cleaned-out at our last visit, bought over $1K of clothes. Today, she had a waist long military style sweater on and she was commenting how she only had a camisole inside and it was so warm! I told her well, it's cashmere isn't it? She didn't even know. I told her yes, it's cashmere, accent on the "cash". Haha! Sums up Neiman. Even at last call, you can still find some decent stuff.
I'm not even going to write how much I spent, let's just say that we had a good time :)
Customer service was hit and miss. Either really excellent, or really crappy.

If you're in Neiman Marcus on purpose, you already know what to expect. Only the best available is here; Manolo Blahnik, DKNY, Michael Kors, and much more. Truly a store that caters to the elite and to a more discerning palate. A treasure!
