Another highend furniture store. they also sell linens for the house, although they are very expensive, they also maintain very high quality. An item that came to me as surprise was their lotions and soaps.

I love the look of restoratin hardware. I wish that was my home- soft, soothing colors, clean whites, high ceilings, wood floors. But, its not. And I don't have the cash to make my studio look like restoration hardware, no matter how great their ideas about decorating truly are. There's nothing small you can buy at RH to get the aesthetic they advertise so freely. Perhaps that is a marketing ploy. ANd if it is, its quite brilliant.

I love this place. Anyone who gets the catalog knows about all the treasures they have, but one thing a lot of people may not know is they have the best paint as well.
I painted my entire houes with paint from restoration hardware and it covered so well and was so rich I would recommend it to anyone.
The staff at this location was so helpful on the several occasions I bought paint there, helping me to my car with my load.

Just being in this store is calming. It is clean and well-lit and the people are friendly and helpful without being overbearing. Also, they had the exact coat hooks I was looking for!

Everything here is great quality. This has to be my favorite place to look for furniture and home decor. There are other locations in Santa Monica and Pasadena.

Restoration Hardware is a great store to add some color and spice to a boring living room or den or pretty much any room of your house. They have such beautiful and unique items you're not going to find in the major department stores. The styles are really upscale but their prices are rather reasonable. (IF you're planning on doing a lot of shopping here, you may want to consider a part time job as I hear the employee discount is really good.) Maybe that's why the staff is so well versed in their products because they have so many of them in their homes already!? I love browsing this store because it gives me some great ideas of how to liven up different spots in my home.

This store is slightly more expensive than pottery barn, possibly higher quality. The furniture and accent pieces are stunning, the associates are helpful. Shipping is less if you order in the store rather than online. Discounts/coupons are rare.

This isn't really a hardware store, unless your idea of hardware is hanging a picture, or finding an antique style ships lantern to set off the decorating scheme in your urban loft. it IS a store full of interesting curiosities and handy light hardware type items. It is a great place to get gifts or to browse on an afternoon shopping expedition.
PROS: lots of unique items you can't get anywhere else
CONS: not really a hardware store
