.

While I boarded at Herrold Stables my horses received decent care. There were 3 feedings a day of good quality hay and grain where appropriate. Waterbuckets were regularly scrubbed. Stalls and runs were picked regularly. All horses are required to be on a regular vaccination and deworming schedule. Each of the stalls had at least a 12x24 pipe run. We were allowed to turn horses out in the arenas as long as they were supervised by us and no one was waiting to actually work their horses. There was a limited amount of area for non arena work. There was a asphalt loop of we often used for riding as there isn't much traffic. Since I've left it also sounds like they have a trail that goes back to the river now. My only concern with the facility while I was there was that there was a change of ownership while I was there. The new owners, the Herrolds, maintained policies and levels of care at the previous owner's levels. However they obviously did not have the level of equine knowledge of the previous owner. They however were constantly trying to learn additional information. So I did not let their original lack of knowledge dissuade me from keeping my horses there. I left this stable because I purchased land of my own in the country so it was more convenient to move my horses home.
