I was a patient @ this office a few years ago and then when some where else. I called back because the office is close to my house. I love the new dentist. Dr. Wayne Sawicky was great. He explained the treatment and made sure that I understood it. I had a couple of fillings and it didn't hurt at all. The whole staff was nice and treated me as a person not a number. I recommend this office.

Pros: Nice Dentist

.

I had a tooth ache and the office got me the same day. Dr. Sawicky was very calming and just made me feel so comfortable. They fixed my tooth and made it a pleasant experience. The front office staff was professional and helped me with my insurance plan. I recommend Sunwest Dental to everyone. Thank you Sunwest

I feel anyone that has been to this location before and had a bad visit, needs to give them a second chance. I will admit on my first visit I had issues with the dentist. But now they have a new dentist. HE IS FANTASTIC. I never was awake for an extraction and believe me , the first dentist told me it was a simple extraction. WRONG. This dentist knew I had a lot of stress but it needed to be done. He made me feel so at ease and explained to me every step of the way what prior and during the procedure, The shots he gave me were nearly painless. All the stress I felt was for nothing. Yes it was a tad strange in anticipation of pain but there was none. I say this was the best dentist I have ever been to. I am less then 24 hrs after having 2 teeth pulled and feel little or no discomfort. Thank You SUNWEST DENTAL

Pros: EVERYTHING ABOUT THEM

Cons: NONE

.

I went in with my husband and three children. They said three of us needed crowns on several teeth or else we would need root canals very soon. My children needed their teeth cleaned and all they did was brush with the paste and floss. No other cleaning was done! What a scam!

Cons: They're just out to get your money

.

I started taking my kids to Sunwest at the end of 2008. First, they would see my kids and the Dentist would never discuss with me what their findings were, the assistant would relay all the findings. Then I made an appt for a lost filling for myself. They poked everywhere possible trying to find pain, I had no pain anywhere, they said that I would need a Root Canal, I asked why when I didnt have any pain, they insisted that I needed a Root Canal. I called a different dentist and they said this did not sound right. I believe that they are scam artists and it as if I am trying to buy a car at a car dealership. They try to sell sell sell. They also have a $50.00 deductable popup every now and then saying I still owe it. One from 2007 and I ended up going to a different dentist then for different reasons, but they never did any work on me. Needless to say today is my last appointment with Sunwest Dental and I have learned to do my own research and not take other people's recommendations.

This is my first review, but the only reason i joined this site was to let other consumers know the risks regarding the following dentistry office. Sunwest Dental Center. This dental center did thousands of dollars of botched work on my husbands mouth, including crowns and caps which broke apart within a year or two, leaving exposed nerves and much pain. Additionally, when we went back to repair the work (which they admitted was botched but didn't offer to compensate or neither did they mention how they intended to avoid this in the future) they told him that he needed upwards of 17 thousand dollars in further dentistry work, including another 7 root canals, some of which were repeat root canals which they had already done only 2 years ago. Additionally, they tried to say that he needed root canals on teeth which were perfectly healthy and not cracked, or damaged, or even showing signs of decay. Furthermore, they are saying that he needs 3 seperate cleanings which cost 300 dollars a peice, BEFORE he can even take care of an exposed root which is causing agonizing pain. We are going for a second opinion but are quite confident that they are scamming their consumers. If you are told you need more work done than you think you should have needed we reccommend getting a second opinion. For further reference if you would like to learn more about common dentistry scams, do a google search using the words dentistry scams.
