Central Phoenix Animal Hosp. has been my vet for many years and several of my neighbors also have gone there for years. I have three german shepherds and never consider taking them anywhere else.
Not only did Dr. Ruiz save my german

small place, smaller than a small studio apt...have to carry your pets around. when you call, get ready to be placed on hold...i just called to try and set up an appt...i go once a year at the most for shots; always a problem. Dr. Ruiz

We have had out pets under Dr. Ruiz's care for about 15 years. Her and her staff are always very kind and caring upon every visit. When we had to have our 17-year old cat euthanized, she was very compasionate and didn't even charge us. Our 16-year old border collie is doing well under her advice and care for his arthritis and age-related issues. We feel her staff (for the most part) enjoys working there, and it shows in the way we always feel welcome once we're in the door. The only thing we wish was better was the parking lot - it only has room for a few cars at a time, so it makes it tough getting in and out if you or other people are not there at your appointed times.

This is a one-vet hospital (Dr. Alicia Ruiz) with A+ techs and staff. Because it is a small practice, timing is everything. Plan ahead if possible. It is an emergency they will do all in their power to help you and if not, you will be directed somewhere that can. Dr. Ruiz and the staff really really love their job, and it's evident by the ease in which your pet will respond to them. Be sure to give the office 4-pawed residents a pet while you're visiting.

I started taking my puppy to Central Phx Animal Hosp. because it's right near my work. I love that they are even open on Saturdays! It makes things really convenient. Dr. Ruiz is very intuitive with animals and I love to see her interact with my dog. She listens to me well and the people in the office are very thorough and helpful. I would recommend this office to anyone who is looking for friendly service at affordable prices.

Pros: Parking in front and rear; clean establishment.

Cons: Could be better seating.

They weren't very good at handling people. The nurse made jokes about me being upset (I wasn't crying, I was just obviously concerned and asking questions). I didn't feel overly comfortable with my animal being left behind closed doors with them for a length of time. They took bl00d without asking me and did so behind closed doors. I'm no obnoxious cry baby...I give my animals their shots myself. I'd just prefer if they were going to stick him with needles that I be there...just like he's my kid. They were rather insensitive. I don't know if I'll go back

have a dog who is scared of stroms - my other vet wasn't listening and I was sleep deprived - she got me right in, listened, and I am sitting here typing this in the midst of a storm with my lab sleeping at my feet.
Thanks to Dr. Ruiz
