First off, I am a mother and former employee at Ambassador. I cannot say enough good things about them. The teachers and staff are very friendly and very hands on with the kids. My 13 year old son attended Ambassador every year, except for 1st grade, from age of 3 to 4th grade. The one year I couldn't afford to send him, we ended up having to hold him back because he wasn't getting the attention he deserved and needed in the HISD curriculum. I now have a 7 month old son going there, and he has been there since November 2010. He was a premie and I knew exactly where he would be going as soon as the doctor released us. I am so happy about this school, that I referred a former classmate from high school there. I also have 2 nephews going there.

And as far as the repairs, most places need to be "updated" from time to time. But as far as cleanliness, I would not hesitate in saying that I fully trust that place is very sanitized.

Lastly, the tuition at Ambassador is very reasonable.

Thank you teachers and staff for being so good with the kids. It's great to know that my little man is treated so much like family, when my fiance and myself are working!! God Bless!!

I feel bad for day cares that either don't have enough money or have the money but no one will do something to improve the place. I've met 4 of the teachers and they seem to be very sweet. I sometimes think they put on a front when I enter to pick up my child. I once found my child in a very dirty diaper and under one of the cribs and unattended. The other ladies were very busy with other children and mentioned that they were just about to change my child's diaper. The place looks old and the carpet is smelly and needs to be replaced. I know the teachers try, but they just have way too many children. I had to pick this place because it's closest to home and the only one I can afford at the moment. I just wish something was done to better improve the conditions.

After reading the review written by Casey, I feel the need to put in my two cents also. You can probably tell by the horrible grammar of Casey that she probably isn't the most intelligent person, and probably isn't someone you would want to get advice from when you're looking for someplace to take your children to school. I have 3 children of various ages that have gone through the curriculum at Ambassador, and both them and I love this school. The teachers and staff are always courteous, and my children have fun and learn at the same time. The only complaint I had was that CASEY MIKLE was very rude to the kids and always tended to yell. Yes, there were times when the classes had too many kids, but most of the time it was because CASEY MIKLE didn't show up on time, or didn't show up at all so the school had to combine classes! However, if that happened, Mrs. Perez or Mrs. Gossett would always take their time out to sit in with the class so there was a good student/teacher ratio. I do agree with Casey that there are a few things that need upgrading, but I also know that if the school had the money to do so then it would. I am just grateful that with the economy the way it is, Ambassador is standing strong and keeping it's doors open so that my children can get a great education. However, I also know that when my first child attended Ambassador they had blue carpet, and when my second child attended, it was maroon, so I'm pretty sure that means it's newer carpeting! When my kids graduated from Ambassador they knew SO much, and were far ahead of where they would have been if they attended public school. If you ask my child who her favorite teacher is, she will tell you Mrs. Palmberg. She has such a good rapport with the kids, and cares so much about how well they succeed. She also has a well organized class, and they learn so much from her. I also know the owners, and have spoken to them several times. They are very kind people who LOVE kids and would do anything they could for them. CASEY obviously didn't have her facts straight because they do not live in a gated community, they live in a retirement community, and yes, most retirement communities are gated! I just think people should have their facts straight before writing these things. Anyway, I love Ambassador and would recommend it to anyone!

I do not know what this person is talking about. The staff at Ambassador are very professional, courteous, loving, and caring. My children are very happy there. They love there teachers and school. If Casey was that displeased I do not understand why she stayed so long, every-time I came in she looked happy and content. Evidently other people feel the same way I do because the school has been around for 25 years, which many businesses can"t say

i was an employee here from july07 until jan09. i dont understand myself how i was employed there this long! this school is a disguise. the name means nothin!! i went here as a child as the age of 2 and finished until the 6th grade. back then it was owned by bonnie rohde, now its owned by her daughter, brenda gossett and this hispanic lady named ivon perez. first let me say this the same desks, chairs, carpet, kitchen utensils, etc. has been there since they opened. the carpet is horrible! it smells ridiculous when u first walk in. NONE OF THE TEACHERS HERE HAVE A TEACHING DEGREE!!!! matter of fact their "head teacher" MRS CAROL LEWIS-PALMBERG has been there since i went there and she has broken a happy home by sleeping with HER OWN STUDENTS father. the little girls parents got a divorce and she married this man!!! another teacher in the baby room LASHONDA THOMPSON has also broken a happy home. she would have her students dad bring her coffee and doughnuts in the mornin. the mother of the little boy felt HUMILIATED because she was so called her friend and she pulled her son also!! this is a disgrace to mankind. i do not think this daycare should even still be opened. all the while i was workin there i had 4 special needs kids in my class and I JUST GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL. i do not have any kind of certificate that allows me to handle special needs children. they also have another special needs child that is in a wheelchair and they have no wheelchair ramp accessible for her. i am just really disgusted by that. they always always always had my class with more than i could account for. state licensing says a teach can not have over 26 kids i her class with ages 5-12 and majority of the time i would have 35. thats it almost 10 extra kids. how would u feel if your child was one of the extra ten i had and i couldnt keep watch on him or her? well, here is the most upsetting part. the owners live in a gated community!!!! i will not post the address but i will post the directions to the street. **** MONALDO DR. PEARLAND TX
my last week workin there i was horribly sick and my son was also. i called in to let them know i was not coming due to my illness and BRENDA GOSSETT told me to come in anyways and bring my sick son!! how rude and obnoxious is that? due to those foul statements my mom went to make a complaint and they were so upset about her complainin they physically put there hands on her to try to remove her from their premises. we now have a lawsuit filed against them and i would not put my worst enemies child in this daycare.

my daughter has been attending this daycare since she was a little bitty thing and we have never had any problems with how they take care of her or how they take care of us for that matter. They are always friendly and courteous to us and understanding of my schedule as a single mother I truly appreciate all that they have done for me . Unfortunately we will be moving soon and no longer will we be able to attend ambassador but I will still continue to promote this daycare and I hope the next one will have a great staff just like ambassador thank you for all your help R&B

My daughter has been at Ambassador since she was 6 weeks old. Her eardrum busted while she was there and had blood coming out of her ear and they did not contact me. One day she broke out in a rash over her entire body and they did not call me. My husband went to pick her up early one day to take her to the doctor and the lady feeding her was trying to force feed her and was not even paying attention to what she was doing. She is moving to another daycare next week. I'm going to pay my registration fee today. Ambassador is rated a level 1. You need to check this website out... http://www.dfps.state.tx.us/Child_Care/Search_Texas_Child_Care/default.asp

Click on "search for a day care" and you can look it up. 1 is inspected every 3-6 months, 2 is inspected every 6-9 months and 3 is inspected every 9-12 months. A 3 is the best. The place I'm moving her to is a 3! Good luck!

They have small classes for school that gives some of the children one on one care. They also have field trips to further educate the school age classes. Everyone is very kind and courteous.

PROS: a great place to learn
CONS:
