Armon's is very non descript, in fact if you didn't know to look for it you might miss it. It is the on Eagle Rock just south of Colorado. There is street parking but ample enough, particularly in the mornings. This restaurant only serves breakfast and lunch. The prices are reasonable. I have never had lunch but have had breakfast many times. Classic breafast fare, but much better than a Denny's or Carrow's, eggs to waffles etc. Be sure to try their fresh homemade salsa with your eggs.
This is a favorite spot of mine. Of course now there are many locations but this is the original. I like the outdoor seating right on the water. The food is great and ample. They have 250 beers on tap and it is fun to watch peopleattempt to drink from and not drool the yard beer glass. Being more of a wine or martini person I have never tried it, but it looks like fun! They do have a decent selection of wines by the glass too.
I have been told by all the men I know who like power tools that this is a good store. They look through the flyer like it's the latest Pottery Barn catalog. As a female going in this store is torture. On the surface it looks disorganized, most of the inventory is on the bottom of the display as opposed to hung in it's proper place. However most people I know that like tools can go into this store and come out with some great bargains. It is a great gift certificate for the do it yourselfer that is tired of Home Depot.
This is a great place for a broomball party or just informal ice skating. I mean where else in the Pasadena area can you enjoy playing on ice during the winter! They have all sorts of lessons and classes. I took a beginners class here as a kid and still rememeber the basics. Great venue for kid's parties too.
If you like Sport Chalet you will love this store. It is kind of out of the way (Montclair Plaza parking lot) but the prices are well worth it. They carry discontinued and closeout items,
Factory over-runs, irregulars and samples
on items. Mostly clothing and footwear. A few snow sleds too. The inventory changes regularly.
(the phone above is wrong. 626.993.3673 is correct.) I bought my first car from this dealership. The salesman was quite helpful in explaining the different aspects of the purchase. Pasadena Ford is not flashy or very nice to look at in my opinion, but they more than make up for that in service. I have used their service department for recall repairs and warranty repairs and was very impressed both times with the obvious desire to serve the customer. Both times my repairs were completed within a day. Pricing seemed to be more expensive, but for warranty repairs or recalls I highly recommend this dealer.
This is one of my favorite sporting goods stores. They have tons of sporting equipment from skiing to Golf and everything in between. I like the selection of running shoes. During the holidays they usually have an athletic shoe sale. This year it was2 pair for $50 - good selection.
www.diciccos.com - Check out the coupons on the website. Quality food at a reasonable cost. In the past we have been able to accomodate our large family gatherings fairly easily, even sometimes at the last minute at DiCiccos. Our extended family goes to dinner often and trying to fit 15 or 20 people in one place on a Friday can be challenging.
I like the informal style of this place! The prices are reasonable and Breakfast is served all day. For lunch my favorite is the soup of the day with the flaky bakery crust baked on - a very unique way to have soup. Everything I have had here has been very tasty. This little cafe is located in Fig Garden Village and has seating inside and outside. I recommend the outdoor seating when the weather is nice.
Fig Garden is an upscale shopping center with stores such as Ann Taylor, Chico's, Williams Sonoma, Sharper Image and Whole Foods . There are also plenty of places to eat and a wine shop that serves Mimosas on Sunday! I enjoy picking up last minute gifts here when we are in town for Christmas because it is generally not crowded, at least by LA standards.
