My mother-in-law referred me to Tim when our dryer started making a loud banging noise. We were really pleased with his service. I got a call back within hours of my first call, which in some service professions is unheard of unfortunately. He services appliances at least from Pasadena to Monrovia. He was able to correctly diagnose our dryer problem over the phone, if you can believe it. Turned out to need just a new bolt, nothing major.
We had to rush our neighbors tiny dog here after it got into our backyard thinking he was bigger than he was and fought with our big dog, the small dog was in critical condition and this vet was quick, thorough and explained all possible difficulties and problems. I can't say enough about how pleased we were regarding service etc not to mention the peace of mind we get having an emergency pet hospital this competent so close.
I am happy to say the little dog survived and lives to still torment our big dog through the new reinforced fence of course!
Stuart is a family run winery. If reds are your thing I highly recommend stopping here. The tasting room is small and can get packed on the weekends but it is definitely worth a visit.
If you are ever headed down the 15 fwy towards San Diego I recommend a stop in the Temecula Valley at Thornton, their sparkling wines are some of the best in the area! They have scheduled tours (free) and educational tastings ($10pp) on the weekends that are very informative. If you go mid week their tasting room is just off the gift shop, it looks more like a caf, with indoor seating by a cozy fireplace or if you prefer to sit outside there is a large outdoor patio. The staffhas always been friendly and helpful to answer novice or more advanced wine questions. The tasting room offers sits down service with complimentary bread and goat cheese spread. Appetizers may be ordered as well. Tastings range from $9-$15.
Beautiful flowers. A business I worked with ordered flowers from Mark's almost weekly for various meetings etc. The arrangements and bowls were always full of the most colorful, beautiful flowers.
I can't say enough about this Sprint store! Gone are the long lines and lack of service. This place is easy to get into, get the help you need and get on your way. Located on Myrtle Ave. in Old Town Monrovia next to Cold Stone and the Krikorian Theater. Friday night might be the busiest time for this store due to the Street Fair.
This gym is on the small side by most standards. I have been a member since it opened and really like the fact that the busy hours are predictable, so I am usually able to avoid peak times when it is tough to get to the machines.
Nice grocery store to shop in. Hows Market was very busy during the strike since they are non-union. Great hours, friendly helpful service. Everything looks clean and well kept. The shelves are usually fully stocked.
This is my favorite location for Yaki's. The only drawback for me was the seating, all of it(and there isn't much)is outside, kind of like an after thought. But it is a great place if you are getting food to go. Close to Disney and near AAA.
The last time I was there the smell was so bad I had to leave. I don't know what it was but it was definitely old, stale and at some point from a human!
