We called Dans as one of many air conditioning installers that we asked for a quote. We did receive a call back in a timely manner but the quote was high and the person doing the quoting did not have answers to all our questions about what we really needed and what was unnessasary.
PROS: Quick response
CONS: High price
I contacted them in reference to retirement planning. I was handed off a number of times before I was able to speak to anyone that could help me. I also tried to access information via the website and couldn't. It was very frustrating and a turnoff to working with them. I took my portfolio and went to another financial service company and was much happier.
CONS: very frustrating
My Mother and I have both used Mr. Heller to help us with our tax returns in the past and he has done a fine job. He asks quesitons we would not have normally thought of and found great deductions. We were very pleased and would use him again.
PROS: Honest and trusworthy
CONS: Cost of using a professional
This little theater doesn't get that much attention but they do a great job. I live only a few miles away and I try to go a few times a season. Unlike some of the larger community theaters in NJ the tickets are very reasonable and you can afford to see a whole season worth of shows. Try it instead of the movies and you won't spend too much more and be happily suprised!
PROS: Great inexpensive community theater
CONS: A little small and noisy in the rain
If you live anywhere in the area you have seen them advertising on TV. They are as cheap as they say but you do get what you pay for. I would recommend this place for things to furnish a college or starter apartment or for small items you might not want to spend a lot on. I wouldn't recommend buying major items here if you want them to last.
PROS: Cheap prices
CONS: Cheap product
This is a Beauty suppy store that is really only open to the trade but if you have a friend with a hairdressers licence you can go with them and just let them buy with your cash. The people there are not snotty about it and the prices are half or less than a salon. Well worth it.
PROS: Great prices
CONS: Need to be in the trade
Elliott's has been around for a long time. They are in that ugly pink building on Rt 28 between Somerville and Bound Brook. They will put cases of soda and juice right in your trunk for you. Its sort of a drive through beverage barn. You can also buy liquor but you have to go into the store part for that. Its actually pretty convienient.
I had Somerville Aluminum install vinyl windows in our condo to replace the ones that were leaking air. They had to match perfectly the old ones because its a condo and the rules say it has to be the same window. Even though ours were almost 20 years old they found a close match and they were very good quality at the same time. The work was done on time and I would recommend them for windows and for the quality of service.
PROS: Good quality and service
My condo complex dealt with Jon Storz at the Brickman Group for landscape maintenance on our entire condo development. This included snow removal and everything that goes along with that. They didn't tell us they subcontract out the snow removal and ours never gets done until 12-24hrs after the snow falls. Horrible! Don't use
PROS: none so far
CONS: Slow and deceitful
This is one big 40 acre flea market. Its mostly outdoors but has about 5 buildings to get out of the cold/heat. It open on the weekends year round. Get there early for good deals and decent parking. The deals in the farthest corners can somtimes be the best so bring water and comfortable shoes. Also bring cash and small bills. Bargain for things if you think you really want it and alway tell them you have cash. Most vendors won't take anything else.
PROS: Very large lots of vendors
CONS: You get a lot of repeats in types of item for sale
