I have taken all my children to Family Eye Care for several years. My husband and I also go there for our eye exams and we have always been pleased with the service. The doctor is competant and we never have to wait long for our appointments. The newly remodeled office is clean and comfortable. Frames cover the walls along with mirrors, giving you a vast array of choices when looking for frames. The only problem I have ever had is that there is a lady on the staff who is generally grumpy and unfriendly. She just does her job and is not interested in being pleasant or talking with you. So, when you pick out your frames, you will get excellent service but you might not feel really welcome if you get this particular lady.
I have been taking my cats and dogs to Richland Animal Hospital for 9 years now. However I have noticed that the prices at this clinic are a bit higher than prices for identical services at other local veterinarians, so I am going to shop around and try out other veterinarians. I;d like to find a place with good service as well as reasonable prices, but I will continue to use Richland Animal Hospital to board my pets.
11/20011 - edited to add: I do not like this practice anymore. They went downhill and seem to have an elitist attitude and look down their noses at your average pet owner. I took my dog in for some basic bloodwork and they went back and sent for more, expensive tests that I did not agree to, which I was then billed for. They also gave my dog a medication that made him very ill, and told me it was basically my imagination. I stopped the medication and he was fine again. This was a couple years ago and I have since switched vets. I also will not board with them any longer.
I have used several mechanics in the Tri-Cities. Dean's is my second choice when I need work done on my cars. I have had work done by Dean's several times on 5 different vehicles over 9 years and have usually been satisfied with the work and price. A few times a problem was not totally resolved even though I paid a large sum of money to fix it, but overall I would say they are a good auto shop. They are very friendly and courteous, and their prices are usually competitive.
I really like Richland Health Foods because if I cannot find a particular health product, herb, vitamin or supplement anywhere else, they usually have it. They also have a nice selection of health foods such as grains, vegan items, gluten-free items, low carb items, etc. However their prices are very high, and in my experience you will pay about 1/4 to 1/3 more at this store than you will if you can find your item at another source.
If you like to read paperback novels, this is your source. They have lots of used paperbacks for a very reasonable price, and they also will buy back your books at partial cost. They do have some new books and some hardcovers, but the selection is so small you are better off looking elsewhere. They will special order for you if you don't mind waiting.
My four kids love the Rollarena skating rink. They have often had their birthday parties there and always have a great time with their friends. Rollarena is a nice, large rollerskating rink with skate rentals available or bring your own skates. They place popular music and have disco lights. They have special skates like the limbo and couples skates, and play skating games as well. There is an air hockey table and a small food service with pizza, soft pretzels, candy, and other fast foods. For birthday parties the Rollarena provides pop, plates and spoons, ice cream, and a table for opening gifts, and you bring the cake. The cost is reasonable and most kids love to skate. They also have roller hockey available seasonally.
This eccentric little store is the best place to find a gift for that hard to shop for person. They have lots of unique items including T-shirts, cards, and gifts for all ages. They also have candies and jewelry. For that really "different" friend that you can never figure out what to get for their birthday, try this store. Always good for a laugh!
This is my second choice for a pharmacy in the Tri-Cities. Densows has decent prices and a nice little store. The people are friendly and service is good. They do have an excellent little soda fountain that will take you back to the good old days!
When my baby was born 10 weeks early, she weighed 2 pounds 11 ounces. She was on a ventilator for almost 2 weeks and spent just under 6 weeks in the hospital. I am so very thankful for the excellent care my daughter received from Dr. Hadeed, who was her main neonatologist throughout her stay. He is a knowledgable specialist who truly cares about his patients. My daughter is alive and well in great part due to the care she received from Dr. Hadeed. If your child is in his hands, you can rest assured they are getting the best possible care.
I have gone to Associated Physicians for Women for 9 years, including one high-risk pregnancy. I have always received excellent, respectful care from each of the doctors and nurses. With their on-call rotation and nursing hotline I am always able to get excellent care for any problem I have day or night. When I was hospitalized during my pregnancy, the doctors were attentive and caring. They were reassuring and knowledgable and because of their expertise I have a healthy baby girl who was delivered by c-section this year. I would not go anywhere else for female medical care, OB or GYN.
PROS: Many excellent doctors, central location
