This little pharmacy is the best place in town for getting your prescriptions filled. The service is outstanding and friendly. The prices are fair and the pharmacists are always available for advice. While you wait for your prescription you can browse their extensive, unique gift shop including cards, candles, jewelry, collectibles and treats.
PROS: Great service, nice little shop
This store is a very nice place to get gifts and flowers on short notice. They always have something nice and appropriate. They also deliver. The flowers I have gotten from Arlene's have been fresh and beautiful and delivered in a timely manner. Good atomsphere in the store and friendly service.
PROS: Fresh flowers and nice gifts, good service, delivery
CONS: Sometimes a bit pricey.
When my computer has problems I can call Friendly Computers and describe the issue I am having. Sometimes they can tell me over the phone what is wrong and what I can try myself to fix it. They do this for no charge! If I cannot fix it myself then I can bring it in and they repair it in a timely manner for a reasonable price. Their prices are fair, they explain to you what is wrong and what your options are, and they are knowledgable about computers, both desktops and laptops.
PROS: Knowledgable, friendly, reasonable prices
I really like the service at Scott's Cycle & Sports. It is the farthest bike shop in the Tricities from my house but we still take our bikes there for repairs. I especially like the Flat Tire prevention service. They line and slime your bike tired for a set fee, and guarantee no flats for the life of your bike. If you do get a flat, they fix it for free. So far, we have had no flats!
PROS: Great service, reasonable prices
I have had my checking account with Washington Mutual Bank for 10 years. I enjoy the free checking and I got a great refinance rate on my mortagage as well. Whenever I go to the drive-thru or into the bank, the tellers are friendly and nice. I like the automated telephone banking system where I can call and get updates on my account. I like the fact that I get my original checks back with my bank statement at no charge.
PROS: Friendly, free checking, low mortgage rates
CONS: No candy for the kids at the drive thru!
When I was in the market for a new minivan, I checked all the ads and called all the dealers. At Leskovar's I found just the right vehicle: a late model Ford Windstar. I test drove the van and the saleserson was friendly and enjoyable. He was helpful in knowing what features I wanted, and he was not pushy or high pressure. I was a little disappointed that he would not budge on the price, but it was a fair price so I agreed to buy the van. I was shown a fact sheet that said every item on the van had been checked over and tested by their on-site mechanics. I was assured it was in top shape (which was important to me since it had no warranty, and I could not afford any big repairs right away). I bought the van and was very happy with it. Within one week however, I went out to start my van and it would not start. I tried jumping it but it would not start. I had some friends look at it, and they said it was probably needing a new starter. So, I called Leskovar because they have an on-site mechanic and I thought perhaps since I had just bought it there, they might repair it at a discount. Well, the salesman I had bought from was gone on vacation, and the manager I spoke with was not only unhelpful, but downright cold and rude. He told me if I had cared about my vehicle I should have purchased a warrantee from them (which was hundreds of dollars). He said, "if YOU don't care about your car, why should we?" It was obvious to me that once a sale was made, the customer did not matter anymore. Luckily for me, when I called the tow truck to come tow me to my own mechanic, the tow truck driver took a minute and looked at the van. He go tout his own jumper cables and hooked it to his tow truck and got it started. It turned out to be just a bad battery. (The battery was one of the things on the checklist from Leskovar that said it had been tested and checked and was in good shape). But the way I was treated by Leskovar won;t be forgotten. I won;t buy a car from them again.
PROS: Great prices, great vehicles
CONS: Bad attitude, poor customer service, unreliable vehicle "checklist"
When my young son was injured in a local supermarket due to what I felt was negligence on the part of the store, I went to the store manager and filled out an injury form. He said they would probably cover my son's medical bills, but my son had suffered quite a bit of pain and I had lost work, so I called Pat Roach's law offices to find out if I had a case for a small reimbursement for my son's injury. Mr. Roach assured me that if I went thorugh his office, he would get more of a settlement from the store for my son, even after the cost of paying for his services. So, I signed on and brought all my evidence to their office. After waiting several months, I called to see what the progress was. I was told Mr. Roach was busy with bigger cases, but he would "get right on it." After several calls and nearly a year went by, the only result I got was a copy of a letter from Roach Law Offices to the grocery store office, asking for compensation. The letter was badly written, with poor grammer and misspellings. Of course the grocery store denied any liability. Mr. Roach apparently has not had time to pursue it further, because the injury occurred 5 years ago and I just recently got a letter from Mr. Roach saying that he would advise me to go ahead and accept the oroginal offer of payment for my son's medical bills, if the offer still stands. This law office wasted my time and effort and then did not give me any service whatsoever, and I feel it was because I was not a big-money client. Save yourself the time and trouble and either deal with your legal issues yourself or get a competent attorney - not this one!
CONS: Unprofessional, waste of time
When it came time to re-roof my home, I decided to get a bid from Perfect Circle Construction because many of my neighbors had recently gotten their homes re-roofed by this company. My neighbors' homes looked wonderful with their new roofs, and the owners raved about how fast and efficient the workers had been. One neighbor told me that the company was also very careful to pick up all bits of trash and used a magnet to be sure and get all nails or staples that might have fallen around her home. The bid I got from Perfect Circle was competitive with other bids and a very reasonable price. I liked the color selection of shingles available, as well as the quality and the guarantee. Perfect Circle came out and put my roof on very quickly and thoroughly. I am very pleased with the quality of work. They were friendly and they did clean up very thoroughly after the job was done. It has been 4 years since I had the work done and we have had no leaks and no problems. When there was a manufacturer's warning about some possibility of a batch of bad shingles, Perfect Circle called and warned me about the problem, and came out and inspected my roof at no charge to be sure my shingles were not affected. I would recommend them for anyone who needs a new roof.
PROS: Price, quality, and service are top notch
CONS: None whatsoever
