As I have mentioned in other reviews, I don't get false nails, but do occasionally get professional manicures or pedicures. I have gone here a few times to get a manicure, and every time was treated with the utmost courtesy and respect. The techs are friendly, kind, and sweet natured. Obviously, I should also mention that they are very good at what they do. My nails looked great, and their facility was clean and professional looking. Highly recommended.
This is the specialist I was referred to by another dentist(whom I also reviewed... negatively) for my son's needs. Happily, Dr Babcock's office is very pleasant, and nowhere near the train wreck that the other place was. His office has lots of great stuff to entertain young ones(and the parents) while they wait. Among these things is a full sized video game area. He was very patient with my son, and treated us well. His staff was pleasant and full explained what needed to be done in a manner that made it easy to understand. They also will work with you if your insurance does not cover all of the costs. Recommended highly for children.
My son went here briefly a while back. Lynn is a very caring and trustworthy provider, but obviously lacks some of the perks of a big daycare center with lots of access to money and many diverse children. On the other hand, smaller places such as hers provide a closer relationship among the children who are being cared for. It really depends on what your current needs would be. Her prices are reasonable, however, and may be the deciding factor for many families.
The atmosphere in this spa is far too gossipy to be a calm or relaxing experience. It's like visiting a hen house, to be honest. They would gain a lot by focusing more on their customers, rather than loudly (and viciously) gossiping about other local businesses and people. With this kind of background, it really doesn't matter what the prices are like or even if they do a good job. It's just plain unpleasant to visit there.
While I have occasionally gone other places for grooming or specialty/emergency pet needs, this is my chocolate lab's normal vet clinic. Everyone on staff seems to love their jobs and the animals they work with, not to mention the people who bring the animals into the office. I've rarely had a wait longer than a few minutes, even though the vets seem to take their time and check their "patients" thoroughly. better yet, they don't overcharge. Their prices are within reason, and never too much cause for concern.
I actually went to school for computer science... so I don't need and haven't needed to come in for repairs. However, the owners here are very knowledgeable and friendly. They are well versed in their stock and equipment, and will buy or sell spare parts(or even complete sets) for fair prices, with little to no hassle. The only problem I had was when trying to sell my old computer system. I took out the hard drive, as I don't sell those. I destroy them so that they cannot be recovered. They wouldn't take it without the hard drive intact. So if you;re planning on doing that, don't bother. Other than that, it's a great place to go.
I went to Beechmont exclusively for a number of years for my car repairs. A lot has changed in that time, though. I don't go there anymore. I wouldn't necessarily NOT recommend them, though. As repair shops go, they are slightly more honest than average, though not really as helpful as Big Al's has been for me. They do good work, and tend to get things done quickly, but at the same time, can be a little overpriced. I would rate them as only slightly above average, but I guess that can actually be a pretty good score for a repair shop.
I hate to mention this, as I loved their staff and the attention given to my daughter and I during our stay last year. But really, it wouldn't be a good review if I weren't honest. There was a terrible ant infestation in the recovery portion of the maternity ward. I had a very hard time trying to rest and recover when I constantly saw ants going up and down the walls, or even worse... near my sleeping daughter's bassinet. I didn't want them near her, so I asked the nurses to take her into the main infant area for a much larger portion of time than I would have, had the rooms been ant-free. I really feel like this put a huge damper on my experience, as I was very restless and couldn't wait to get out of there because of the infestation. It was absolutely disgusting. I still gave the hospital 3 stars, because their staff was wonderful and caring. They offered many free programs to assist in the birth, and their follow up care was excellent. Unfortunately, I cannot in good conscience recommend the hospital unless the infestation has been taken care of, however.
Since we live in a different area than we did when my son was born, I had to try to find a place where my new daughter would go for her check ups. I asked the staff at Mary Immaculate Hospital for some recommendations, and this center was among them. When I called, I was given a rundown on their services and was told they accept my insurance, so they were an easy choice to make. I met with the pediatricians before her birth, and was very impressed with their demeanor. They have been nothing but helpful, kind, and caring towards myself and my daughter. I fully recommended them to anyone looking for a great pediatrician.
I stopped in here a while back while out shopping with my mother. We bought a few of their homemade pastries and doughnuts. They were absolutely delicious... light, fluffy, and perfectly done. Nothing was too sweet or overly ornate. Everything was very simple and great tasting. I should also add that their service is fantastic. We were greeted with a smile and assisted very promptly. I haven't tried their cakes, but I'm sure they're just as great as the pastries.
